Big surprise in a small package
I purchase the speaker after a great deal of research in compact speaker design. I have tried many different models of speaker in this size range, and this one seriously impressed me. It has a good deal of heft, which only shows to its quality of construction. It fit just outside the palm of my hand, which is a great size for something like that. The unit has a front-facing speaker that puts out most of its mid range and treble, with a rear facing speaker handling the low end. The first thing you will notice when the speaker turns on is the presence of bass residents, which is nearly unheard of in speakers of this size. It doesn't sound like something isn't, it is not going to fill a room with party tunes, but it's pretty awesome for jamming out in the dorm room. It may not be right for the big family reunion at the beach, but perhaps the romantic picnic at the park. I really enjoy my time with this little speaker, and for a more casual listener, I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I will say though I did return this product to purchase a more expensive and much larger Bluetooth speaker, because it was the beachside family gatherings and parties that I needed to cater to. I have to say, for what it is, the design is incredible, rugged, and has a pretty great sound.The only things I can say I disliked about this speaker:There is a background sound that is noticeable after turning on the speaker, but it tends to fade into the music if you have it at normal listening levels. It's nothing unbearable, not high pitched or anything, but noticeable if you are not playing any music at all.I also had a hard time finding perfect positioning in rooms without carpet for balanced sound. Using this in my kitchen, with it sitting in the corner on the countertop, it sounded pretty good, but not from all angles. Again, not very noticeable in most situations, especially if listening casually.As compact speakers go, I give this one a thumbs up. For the money, I am definitely impressed.

Amazing Little Speaker
This little speaker is amazing! I bought it to add some sound to our new screened in porch. Our friends (and I) love how quickly it connects to our devices via bluetooth! Both iPhone and Android connected just fine. The sound is incredible. I did a blind side-by-side sound test with our indoor very expensive Bose speaker, and this little Armor sounded even better to most of my friends. The Bose base might have been slightly deeper and has a longer distance range, but the Armor has adequate distance and base. PLUS the Armor's sound was sharper and crisper than the Bose. It quickly charges with my computer via the provided USB cord or at a wall plug using my Android mini-usb plug in charger. I will provide an update on battery life at a later date after I have a chance to play out a full charge a few times. However, I can't get over the sound! The other day someone placed it on the floor under the picnic table on the porch, and everyone who came to my party thought I had installed an outdoor surround sound system (the sound comes out of both sides of the speaker). The fact it is water resistant means I can also take it to the pool, boating, or to the beach. I am very pleased with this purchase!Update 8-6-15...After totally draining the battery, I fully charged it over night, and it was able to play for 3 hours and forty minutes today at a pretty loud volume. There is no battery indicator on the speaker so I cannot tell when it is charged and when it is not. It just stopped working This is one drawback if you want to "take it with you" to use with your phone on a beach or boat and you don't remember when it was last charged. Just know that you will most likely not get more than about 3.5 hours of music playing without recharging.

Worth the money
When I first got this speaker in 2015, I LOVED it.. it lasted a nice long time and the volume and sound quality were amazing...however, slowly but surely the battery became more and more unreliable. The battery would only last 20 minutes max before it would start beeping that the battery was dead. Then the Bluetooth wouldn’t connect until I completely turned it off and back on.. then finally tonight, I died on me. It won’t turn on for anything. The green light confirms that the battery charges but alas, my speaker is no more.

The Connectivity of the speaker is quick and easy, as are the volume controls
I was wanting a speaker about 15 % louder than my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime from Straight talk and boy was I Impressed. The sound quality of the Armour Mine speaker is comparable to the JBL Flip but only in a smaller wattage. The Connectivity of the speaker is quick and easy , as are the volume controls. Volume can be set from the speaker or from your phone. The Armour Mine is a well built, durable speaker that stays where you put it and looks great too. I originally got this product to listen to Christian Apologetics clips on U-Tube and Christian Rock music such as , Red , Skillet, Casting Crowns , Toby Mac, and 3rd Day. So yes , the Armour Mine is awsome for Downloads from Mp3 , Conference Call, or U- Tube clips and Facebook. If you are a person like me with a,small budget and want the most bang for your buck then look no further..........Give it a try......The Armour Mine will not dissapoint you. Small, powerful and resilient!
Was a little cynical because of the price but decided to give it a shot because of other reviews. On opening the box my feelings were unchanged when I saw how small this speaker was but then I connected it via bluetooth to my phone and wow - this thing packs a punch! The sound is very full quality and loud enough to be heard when I'm doing construction (although it was defeated by a noisy belt sander), it has been covered in dust and splashed with paint and still works as new. Connecting and disconnecting via Bluetooth is as easy as turning the speaker on and off, you can change volume/skip songs using the rubber covered buttons and it has survived several drops onto concrete without a problem. Liked it so much I ordered two more for family members, went back to order another two but the price had gone up by five dollars so I guess the secret is out!
