I have only tested this so far. I plan to move a 14' boat with one or both of these. I am going directly from a solar panel. 100w is not quite enough on a partly cloudy spring day. At full speed in a bucket of water, the motor will draw down the voltage below 12v and the system will fault out and stop (does what it is supposed to do). If I add more panels this won't be a problem. Though, I really think that one motor will work fine, it is really strong!I believe that the construction is mostly cast urethane. The impeller design was 3D printed with a high resolution printer then used to make a mold in which the urethane was poured and cured. This results in a very detailed finished product in a robust material. I think that it is great that such a niche product can be produced relatively easily and be this good!I looked around to see if I could make my own since I have access to 3D printers. The motors alone are $20 on eBay, so it doesn't make sense to put in the effort. I believe that these are a good value at their current price (pair for $57).This company went the extra step to fill the coils with resin to help to keep water out. This is a nice step.When I get this working, I'll try to remember to update this review.

just make sure you get the correct ESC for brushless motors. i got these B07V2DL68W and hooked it up to B07WR9Y1HG which let me set the joysticks to use like a tank. just realize there is no 'reverse' unless you use a different (more expensive) ESC. works like a charm! whatever quality issues they had seem to be worked out. i took one apart and and so no solder blobs, just good (maybe not great) quality soldering. I'll definately buy again for my next UW-ROV. update: tested these in salt water (Puget Sound) and they still worked! powered my kayak at about 2mph on just one motor. just make sure you rinse them in fresh water afterwards.

Running these thrusters on 4s lipo. I can't give full throttle or it'll just come out of the water. The front of the watercraft will need to be weighted down. These thrusters have plenty of power for an rc project.

Extremely good quality motors. Test them for 12hr non stop operation no problems found. And NO I didn't get discount nor was paid for that review. The motors are very powerful and the propelers are tuned very well almost 0 cavitation effect meaning no heat or lost of power do to that effect. They working very well in reverse too.

This particular model must have been the ghost mode edition because whatever it did I never seen it
