Best trans pan
This is one of the best transmission pans I have found for the ram truck. Fits perfectly and is very well made. It adds an extra 4 quarts of fluid which is great for towing.

100% Recommended
The product is well-built and looks and feels high quality. It is easy to mount, and it comes with everything necessary to mount. It does come with a gasket that does not look or feel like the OEM one, but it worked fine after applying some light grey silicone on both sides of the gasket and letting it dry for 24 hours.Transmission works in significantly lower temperatures than before. The big fact is that this pan was installed in conjunction with the BD thermostat bypass. Both do a fantastic job keeping the temperatures low.

Fit well, no leaks, easy to do when servicing the transmission.
Includes the pan, gasket, 1/8 inch pipe plug for the temperature sensor if not used. The drain plug has a magnet for ferrous metal. There are 15 M6 x 1.0 metric bolts and 15 M6 x 12 stainless steel flat washers. I counted bolts from inside the package before opening but when I went to install the pan there were only 14 washers. On my 2012 Ram 3500 with a 68RFE the fifteen bolts are 8mm head bolts. The torx screw holding the sump filter is a T25. The BD bolts will need a 5mm hex tool. I used a small oil filter removal tool I have in the shop to remove the cooling line filter. The seal used for the sump filter is almost impossible to remove. Inspect yours and if it looks fine you may want to consider just leaving it in place. What little RTV gasket material stuck to the transmission case was easy to remove with my fingernail. The gasket BD includes does not need RTV to seal if your case is clean. Right or wrong I let the truck sit overnight and pulled the pan with the transmission cold. I let it drain for an hour. With additional room in the new pan I used 13 quarts of ATF+4 to completely fill the case once the tranny was warmed up. I took it up I-70 from 7,500 feet to 10,500 feet pushing the truck hard and the trans temp never went above 158 degrees F. Use a criss cross method to torque the new pan on and finish by making sure each bolt is at 105 inch pounds or 8.75 foot pounds. Use a two or three step method to prevent over torquing any single bolt.

Looks cool, well made
Best bang for the buck, hands down. Comes with a cheap gasket. I threw it away and used a new oem gasket. No leaks, well made and has a drain plug lol.

Good product with a few possible snags on some installations
For the price it is a good value, my 2018 Ram 2500 required me to bend the oil cooler lines inorder to to allow proper installation. This was not that easy, I found it best to remove the Short pipe and reshape it for some clearance.. The temperature port in the oil pan looks to have had a few of the threads damaged on the inside part of the hole. Last of all the gasket was not protected with cardboard as I had seen in other reviews. My gasket was between the top of the box and the packing. This resulted in the gasket not wanting to stay in place during installation. I would recommend this oil pan, but the quality can't fall from the point that I am seeing or it would be considered junk. BD Products good value keep up the good work, maybe look at selling a replacement short cooler line for my type of install.

All was great until….
Don’t get me wrong it’s a solid pan but cheap, cheap, cheap drain plug… it’s funny cause it says leak free on the bolt… and still leaked. I’m sure some of you guys are thinking I probably cross threaded it but no I did not. Anyways once the plug on was there enough to not leak I was fine with it up until now… of course after the return date I go to remove the plug and it’s seized to the pan!! Literally couldn’t get the damn thing off. Got a 3ft breaker bar (you guys probably know what happens next) and striped the hell out of the plug. I tired WD-40, larger hex bit and lightly tapped it in, and no good. I would’ve used a torch but decided it’s probably better to get a new pan. So that’s my experience, other than that freaking plug I like the pan. Maybe it’s just from a bad batch, who knows.

Great replacement of OEM
Installed with no problems and no leaks after 5 or 6 heat cycles. Trans temp much cooler now and I have a drain plug for future fluid changes. OEM pan has no drain plug which makes for a very messy job.68° day, Trans temps ran 142° on freeway. If ur changing Trans fluid, might as well get this and never look back

Good product
Good aftermarket Trans pan. I like the fact that it has a drain plug! Makes draining the transmission so much nicer! Comes with a gasket too. Over all good product.
