Pyrex 100 Year 10-Piece Vintage Future Glass Bakeware and Food Storage Set

Shattered in the oven on first use. The loaf pan... It exploded in a 350 oven spraying glass throughout the oven, destroying two different entrees in the oven. The pan was at room temp or above when placed in the oven. This set was purchased to replace another new set of pyrex that arrived with a broken cover. When this set arrived, it also had a broken cover. What the heck Pyrex? $40 worth of dinner for five ruined. Exploding pans, broken covers!Note: The baking dish next to the exploding one is also Pyrex. There are from the same, brand new, five piece set. One explodes, the other is fine. They were both used in an identical manner, same temperature, etc.

I use these for EVERYTHING! They are the perfect size to portion out large batches of food into individual servings. I've never had a problem with them breaking (except the one I dropped on the tile floor), but then I don't take them from a cold fridge to a hot oven. My husband takes his lunch to work in them every day and microwaves them with no complaints. The lids will last longer, however, if you take them off before microwaving. I've had a set for about three years now and the lids get washed in the dishwasher daily and they're just now starting to show signs of wear, but I'm guessing they'll last a few more years, and they are replaceable through pyrex. All in all, they are a great size, serve several purposes, and it's nice not to have plastic leaching chemicals in our food. Well worth the money!

So far I am pleased with this purchase. I did notice some "waving" on the glass that I always associated with poor quality and more brittle glass. I'd have to look into that more, but I did notice it on the glass. The lids fit tightly. I've used this in the oven, microwave, fridge and freezer with no issue. The measuring cups do stack, but they are a little tight and have seemed to get stuck a couple times. If my kitchen allowed for more space I'd store them separately. My mom has much older measuring glasses and hers never had an issues stacking. All in all, it's a decent set for a great price, but you'll never get the same quality as what old Pyrex used to be.

The Pyrex box itself is not properly divided between the glassware pieces. Received a second replacement box which had different scratches and chips. Between the two boxes, was able to create a set that ended up just having one bowl with scratches where two glass pieces rubbed together. I decided to live with the results of two boxes since we really love the glassware and suspect that further sets would have similar issues. The packaging has not been thought through at all. Some items are protected by extra cardboard, others have slapped in strips of cardboard that move during shipment and cause glassware to touch other glassware.

I picked up one of these on a whim and we loved it so much I went out and found this set as well as another 100th Anniversary set. These bowls are unbelievably useful.They hold two good-sized servings of leftovers and don't get weird when you microwave them. Because they're Pyrex they can handle heat extremes and it's just nicer to eat out of a "real" dish. They stack reasonably well, but most of mine are either in the fridge, freezer, lunch bag, or dishwasher.

Love these dishes to use to take my leftovers to work for lunch. I wanted try to get away from microwaving my food in plastic containers and these are perfect. They are cute/pretty and functional. I will look for them in a smaller size. Exactly what I wanted, exactly as pictured. Happy with purchase. Would buy again.

I like these so much I ordered a second set. They're very cute and the perfect size. The lids do feel more plastic-y than my other corningware containers. So far both lids and glass have held up to the dishwasher just fine though. They're just the right size for leftovers or for a can of vegetables. I recommend these.
