Great for a classroom
This is a very versatile product. As a math teacher I wanted something where I could annotate on the screen as I walk throughout the classroom. With this being wireless it works perfectly. I can comfortably hold it in one hand while I write with the other. It is light weight and easy to use. I was able to plug it into my computer and start using it right away. This is my second one in about 8 years and they are a great quality item. I do not use it for drawing purposes as my artists would, but it works great as a teacher.

(Almost) too good to be true
I'm going to preface this by saying that I only got my XP-PEN Deco 01 v2 today, so, what I'm going to say is based on a total of around three hours of use so far. If my experience with the tablet or company changes in the coming months, I'll update the review, so, here goes.I use GIMP 2.10.22, and it's been my experience over the past decade I've been using GIMP, that it's usually either really fiddly to set up a tablet with GIMP (unless it's a Wacom, of course), or a tablet straight up just isn't compatible with the software. But with the Deco 01 v2, it was so incredibly easy. All I really had to do was was set the tablet up as normal, and then go into GIMP's input device settings and enable the Eraser function, choose a Brush Dynamics profile, and that was it. I was off and scribbling in about five minutes, when all was said and done. So, I'm super happy with my purchase of their product. This is technically my third tablet, but the first one I've been able to actually get to work with GIMP without any real hassle. First tablet was a Genius MousePen 608, and that KINDA worked with GIMP, but not really (it kept losing cursor position and I'd have to restart GIMP what seemed like every 10 minutes or so to get the cursor tracking back). The next one was a Turcom TS-6580B, and I couldn't get that one to work with GIMP no matter what I did. It's actually still sitting on the chair where I left it almost five years ago. Can't find the pen, though, so it's not really useful, anyway, and it was an active stylus and thus required 1xAAA battery. This drawing tablet is amazing so far.But yeah, the construction seems solid enough, the lit corners for the working area are a nice touch, especially if you're gonna be using it any at night, and having the little shortcut keys on the side is convenient. And I'm not gonna lie; the extras that are included with it certainly make it what I'd consider a decent value (other brands, you should be taking notes from these guys), and it comes at a decent price too, which, of course, is something to consider. The only thing I could mildly complain about is that I wish the PN05 stylus that comes with the Deco 01 v2 had the eraser end, and that could potentially be alleviated by swapping it out for another stylus, but I don't know if any other styluses from XP-PEN (or from anyone else, for that matter) are compatible with the tablet. So, maybe if anyone knows, one way or another, you could let me know in a comment to this review.

Great for Linux, Maybe not for beginners
This is my first drawing tablet. In this review I hope to cover my "newbie" impressions, its Linux compatibility, and its general utility.First, my "newbie" impressions. Very soon after I received this device, I realized there are several things about it that aren't for me:1) It too large. This was a surprise for me because I was convinced the size would be perfect, but for me as a beginner, I suspect that I would do better with one size smaller, and it would certainly sit better on my computer desk;2) I very much dislike the upright pen holder. I realize now upon receiving it that I would much prefer to attach the pen to the side of the tablet. The upright holder isn't designed for being put in a desk drawer and having a separate piece is just annoying and amounts to clutter. Now, about Linux (2023, KDE, Debian): This tablet operated fully as a plug-and-play device, even before installing the manufacturer's drivers. I'm guessing that usability a side effect of Linux's WACOM support. What that plug-and-play support doesn't give you, though, is the detailed customization features that the tablet offers. For that you do need to install the manufacturer's Linux driver package. The manufacturer impressed me with the recency of its Linux driver support. I received the tablet on 2023-12-19; the model has been on the market for over four years, and the date of the driver package was 2023-10-23! There were drivers for multiple Linux distributions, and a detailed web page describing how to install them (standard, boring, nothing special). Once you install the drivers package, you do need to either reboot your system (what I did) or maybe just log out and back in. At that point, when you plug in the tablet, an icon is added to the system tray for the xp-pen configuration tool. Just beautiful - no hassle whatsoever. Finally, a few words about this tablet's general utility. Keeping in mind that I'm an absolute newbie: 1) It may be that the 'tilt' feature has been confusing me. I've shut the feature off, and I think the pen is operating better for me for now; 2) I really like how easy it is to change the tablet rotation using the configuration tool; 3) The pen works fine for drawing in programs such as Krita and KolourPaint, but because it's speed is calibrated for drawing it's slower than what you would want for a mouse, so it's annoying to use in order to move long screen distances quickly to press buttons and make selections from feature grids on the sides of canvases. What I've started doing is moving my mouse to my left side and using my left hand for the mouse so I don't need to put the pen down in order to quickly get fast mouse navigation. It would be nice to be able to program one of the pen buttons to increase the pen's distance-speed while pressed.
