Festool sandpaper is top notch. I prefer to use the Granat abrasives for 180 grit and below. The Granat doesn't clog like the other Festool sandpaper product lines however it doesn't have the even scratch pattern such as the brilliant. For wood I recommend Brilliant for 220 and above. My sanding schedule usually goes like this: 1) Granat 80 Grit 2) Granat 120 Grit 3) Granat 180 Grit 4) Brilliant 220 GritFinish with product with 320 Grit/400 Grit between coats. I suggestion 320 for water born finishes because the grain will be raised and will appear to be rough. Just be careful not to sand too much or you will sand through the finish. Leave at least 24hrs-48hrs to dry between finishes to be safe.

I've been using granat sandpaper for almost a year now and find it the best all around sandpaper I've ever used. I've used it on bare wood, to strip off an old finish and to lightly sand between coats of finish (but with 320 & 400 grit) and it has done all well without clogging or wearing quickly.

There is no choice here. If you have Festool you must buy their abrasives. Nevertheless they are excellent! Quickly cutting and removing unwanted material from the surface and longlasting.

Granat is awesome - doesn't clog easily, lasts forever, and delivers a perfect finish!

Bought it and it is way small than 5 inch sander paper and doesn't fit my 5 inch festool sander. It has ery misleading item description. Can't tell item size by reading this only one picture and item description straight lyrics. Asked for return and found out I have to ship it back at my own expense.
