Incredible Stuff!
First, I feel like I need to say that I am not an HVAC professional. This is my first outing with aluminum tape, and have no comparative reference. That being said, this stuff is amazing!I picked this up because we added a portable A/C unit to one of our bedrooms that gets a little squirrely in our sweltering southern summers. Like I said, I’m no HVAC pro, so our first attempt resulted in an exhaust hose that seemed to be radiating more heat into the room than the unit was able to cool and a blower that had an effect similar to trying to hit a target 20 yards away with a confetti popper. So I wanted to add insulation to the hose and a directional hood of sorts to the blower. To be honest I just felt like this tape looked like what I should be using for the jobs. And boy was I right! It looks super legitimate. More importantly, of course, the tape also works like an absolute champ. It took a few cracks to get used to handling it, as might be expected from what is effectively super sticky and curly aluminum foil, but, once I figured out that I should keep it on the roll and just pull back the backing paper and/or make it rigid by popping my thumb into the center of the strip, I was off to the races. The big victory for me and the tape was on my blower hood. I had previously tried to seal and adhere my creation to the top of the unit, in part, with regular duct tape. Unfortunately, right where the tape was needed was precisely where condensation likes to accumulate. After a while – due to the materials involved and the moisture – the duct tape got a bit soggy. When I pulled the duct tape, and applied this, it was like magic. No more condensation. Not only did it look much better, but the intrinsic properties of the tape’s materials were obviously better suited for the job.All in all – and again, I have reference points other than completely different types of tapes I’ve used in the past – I think this stuff is great! I fully intend to apply it to as many things that we own as my wife will tolerate.

Perfect for my problem. GREAT PRICE!
I had noticed some air movement in the open cabinet that holds ceramic cookware, above my stove top when the exhaust was on. I removed everything near the duct for the exhaust and found a seam was separating in four places where tiny welds had broken. The exhaust was installed 20 years ago and had been working flawlessly since then and there had been no leaking and I have no idea why the seam would break now. However, I saw this tape on Vine and ordered it. I cleaned the metal duct with a degreaser and then wiped it with denatured alcohol to be sure. I cut the tape into two strips, slipping one through the hole in one shelf and sticking it down from where the exhaust hood fits into it and overlapping the other strip by 2" and sticking it down so it extends 6 inches beyond where the seam had separated. I used a hard rubber 1" brayer to roll the tape down to remove all bubbles in the tape to make sure it was fully sealed. I left it to "set" for about an hour and turned on the exhaust to FULL, which I rarely use. I put some tissue paper on each shelf and there was no movement at all so this has cured the problem. EASY to USE.

Professional quality aluminum tape at a great price
I use aluminum tape all the time in my work, mainly on ductwork. Compared to the tape I normally buy, this is very high quality and sturdy. It's also a bit easier to get the backing off of it than some other tapes I buy.It adheres very well and is easy to shape around joints of vent elbows etc. Also seems to be a little stronger overall than other brands I've used.By the way this is the kind of tape you want to use on ductwork for your range hood, air conditioning ducts, or hot water heater. Do not use cloth duct tape, it always dries out and falls off. This kind of tape will stay on forever, and you don't need to use as much.Quality product, and an excellent asking price!

Great foil tape!
This aluminum foil tape from TAPEGO is intended for HVAC systems and is just what I expected it to be. The foil is thin and easy to position and the sticky side adheres easily to metal. Believe it or not, we used this kind of tape over the winter to add underpinning to our RV and it held foam insulation pieces quite well even in windy conditions. However, a word of warning, as this is METAL tape, so if it gets folded (maybe if you are like me and you accidentally get the tape stuck to itself and try to remove and straighten it out...) it can create a sharp edge that might cut you. So, all that said, this tape works great and 2 inches wide gives me plenty of coverage.
