2019-2020 Teacher Planner: A Teacher Misery Creation

Every year I tell myself I’m going to be more organized and buy a planner, but most of the time it doesn’t work for me. When I saw this pop up I figured ‘why not?’ This is one of the first times that a planner is actually going to work for me. Not only does it have the month laid out, but it also has a page for each week in the month that’s specifically designed to organize your class by AND it starts with Monday, not Sunday. Plus, it’s a Teacher Misery creation, which means you have funny anecdotes to get you through each month that only educators will understand (not including you, Betsy DeVos). For the laughs and the practicality of the planner, it’s totally worth the price. I highly recommend buying it and giving it a shot!

This is a great humorous planner that reminds teachers to not take our jobs too seriously all the time. It’s written by a teacher who truly understands the profession and helps us all remember that things can always be worse...but also reminds us why we do the job in the 1st place!

I feel better about the upcoming school year already, just knowing I have a few bits of sarcasm at my fingertips in this planner. Useful layout and of course, fun throughout. Would love to see a spiral bound version next year so that I could fold a page over to keep the book open on my desk.

The product is funny and the paper is good quality. But there are not enough weekly layouts for the months! (I. e. November is missing a whole week?) this is pretty unusual and not sure if it is a mistake or if I have a bad copy?

I haven’t stopped laughing since I opened this planner! The layout is exactly what I’m used to with my 6 classes and room for one more in case they screw me out of a planning period. I used to buy the cute little planners with the stickers and bright colors and pictures. But I’m cynical AF in my 4th year and need something to make me cackle at the end of a crappy day, not a flower-laden cursive motivational quote. This is also way cheaper (but not lacking in quality!), lighter, and won’t unwind halfway through the year after being repeatedly shoved into the depths of my schoolbag or slammed on the table during endless faculty meetings.

This is one of my favorite back-to-school purchases ever! First off, it has a hilarious staff meeting bingo sheet which is going to make said meeting so much more tolerable. "Jane Morris" has added tons of funny quotes and sayings, but my favorite part of the entire book has to be the new rules. If you've ever taught for any length of time, these rules will ring all too true. The actual planning section has a monthly planning page and weekly planning pages with lots of room for notes (or doodles). So happy with this product and I will definitely buy one to take the sting out of back to school every year.

I love the teacher misery posts on social media and her books. I had high expectations for the planner and was super stocked to get it. I love the sayings and notes in it. But I can’t quite use it as is. I’d prefer to be spiral for more easy writing and storage. The paper is too thin and I can’t use my colored markers or pens without bleeding through. I wish it was printed in color too.

It’s hilarious and definitely something my team and I will laugh about for the entire academic year. I will be buying the next one.Only drawback - slightly less fit for purpose for UK teachers where July is missing (as we don’t teach in August). But this is easily worked around 😀

It's nice but not what I'm looking for. I was pleased the see all the positive feedback for this planner and just took a chance and bought it, even though there was no preview of what the inside looks like. I'm going to return this. It's not what I'm looking for, but I do appreciate the funny teacher related jokes written within it.

This was such a great planner. The weeks and 7 block grid works so great for junior high (middle school). It is full of funny Teacher Misery humour and interactive games/activities.
