Solar Fountain

Having bought 1,I bought 3 more. My gardenis 6mx 6.5m so relatively and i can see each fountain from the living room. From the images you will see I have used 3 different kind of cantainri copper preserving pan champagne bucket, and 'concrete' flowerpots. I had some problem these waterproof, in the end using waterproof impact glue and plastic from a compost bag, both top and bottom. I used the single 'pole' about 5 cm tall, choosing this so that the spray did not get blown out of the container. The champagne bucket is the most successful because it has the well below and lasts longer before topping up . It is raised up from the found by 2 cylindrical flower pot so 75 cm from the ground .I am am using it as the centre piece of a collection of pots. I top up each fountain each day when I water the flowers . They are solar and should a cloud go over head or you make a shadow with your hand the water virtually stops- The stones are for birds to use. I am particuallypleased because birds are attracted.. So far it is 2 fat pigeons, 2 collar does and 2 sparrows, previously I had no visitors. They are small fountains and work well, but don't expect too much of them........or the weather!In heavy weather I found the bulk of the fountain had sunk and the foam ring floating on the surface. Easy to put back together, but the fountain wasn't working. . There is a a filter, and this needs cleaning (every so often snd before winter storage.Hadn't seen it before.

The media could not be loaded. This only took a couple of minutes to set up with a good choice of different stream attachments, work perfect for what I wanted it for. But please note it only works when the sun is out the slightest bit of cloud it stops working but great for the money

The media could not be loaded. Really disappointed. As you can see it is in direct sunlight and this is all that happens. I will be requesting for a full refund. I have wasted time and money trying to attempt to make my own water feature but now I just wish I bought a proper one that costs a bit more.

Lovely to begin with, a real talking point in the garden. Worked for a couple of months then died. Tried taking apart and cleaning as per instructions but no luck, waste of money.

The media could not be loaded. Ordered this solar fountain as someone else I know had got one. Package arrived quickly and all parts were well packaged. Easy to set up, with simple instructions and a selection of nozzles so you can select which kind of fountain you want by interchanging them.There are extendable arms that stop the fountain from floating about in your chosen tub, so you can select whatever size tub you want. I simply used a pot from the garden centre and put some stones in the bottom. The pump work even in low light, but produces a ‘squirt’ rather than a regular stream. In bright sunlight however it goes constantly. The pump is quiet.Like others have said though, the only downside is that on a windy day, or if you don’t have a pot wide enough, the fountain squirts water all over so you have to keep it topped up or it will just stop when it runs out of water.A really good quality piece of kit for the price however and well worth a go in your garden if you can’t afford a bit expensive fountain as you can choose the pot and move it around the garden where you like.

I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I thought I would give it a go. All I got was a little splutter. So small, you can't hear it or see it, if you are not directly looking at it.Buy something more expensive then this, it might work.

I have two of these to use in a patio pond with a few goldfish. The built in battery and the fact that the fountain shuts off when not in water means I can have one charging outside the pond while the other is in the pond. So there is a fountain working right through daylight hours and one of them will be working until late evening. It charges even if it’s not particularly sunny. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that my experience is that they don’t last for years, but at the price they are I’m prepared to replace when necessary. A few more fountain heads would also be good. But otherwise a very good product.
