fun and pretty
Fun little activity for me and my bf. The little figures you can add are adorable and the stones are very pretty. Starting seeing results after only an hour or so and by 24 hours it was fully grown and beautiful! Very happy with this.

My daughter (age 6) and I did this together and she loves it. She was so happy to see the crystals grow. It really is cute!

Worth another shot if I’m being honest
I’m laughing so hard right now reading the reviews that people’s didnt grow when mine practically exploded! Lol! It was such a chemical mess that it couldn’t safely be returned so I had to get my refund through the pictures. I would absolutely try it again though! I have a miniature one that looks fantastic!

if not broken, would have worked fine
I've seen this one done on a video prior and we made a different one that looked great. When I opened the box it was properly protected and looked like it had no damage. When I took off the clear plastic piece per instructions, the "click" clasp part didn't work. it just popped on and popped off. I am assuming it was a fault in the manufacturing or the fact that some sand fell in the water as you can see in the picture below the "so magic" logo. I don't blame the seller but I am sad it didn't bloom as this picture was taken after 12 hours. It is still cute and worth the money.

Disappointing
My daughter was so excited to get this toy because she loves hands-on, build it yourself type toys BUT even though we followed the directions very closely, nothing happened. We waited several days and absolutely no crystals grew, no change at all. Major disappointment!! Don’t waste your money.

Fun science education DIY to do with kids
The media could not be loaded. My 8 year old daughter enjoyed putting this terrarium together all by herself. We carefully read and followed the instructions step by step because we were afraid that we’d fail like others have.The only hard part was trying to discern where the water goes, and to which line. The instructions weren't very clear. I've added a photo to show you where it goes. Once we had it figured out, everything else came to place and it was a cinch.Once you’ve completely put it together, you’re to let it sit for about 12 hours for it to fully grow.We started to see growth at about 15 minutes in. Fast forward to the following morning, 14 hours later, we have a fully grown coral tree! It's so pretty and we're so glad to have done it right. Now that it's fully bloomed, my gripe is that it's overly sensitive and fragile. You cannot tap the table it's on without the crystals falling off. I don't see this lasting more than a couple of days once bloomed. Other than that, I am still pleased with the terrarium as it was a fun experience for my daughter and I.Education and science fun!LIKES:- Every ingredient is included, except water.- Fairly easy to put together- Cute design- Science education- Fun!DISLIKES:- Discerning where the water goes (see photo for where it goes)- Fragile once fully bloomed- Won't last more than a couple days (in my opinion)
