Shephe 4 Ply Men's Turtleneck Cashmere Sweater

It does feel warm. The fabric is solid and makes a high quality impression but it is surprisingly rough - I would expect cashmere to be more delicate and soft to touch. The design ("designed in France") is good, comfortable, roomy - for those in doubt about sizes I would advise the smaller unless baggy is desired. The make ("made in China") seems flimsy: I'd guess they make no difference between the 2-ply and 4-ply when sewing. I'll have to be very careful putting it on and taking off (especially pushing my head through the collar basement) as the seams don't seem strong enough: my initial impression is it can be torn apart easily. The thread sample supplied looks a joke by the way: I don't think that little can be enough to repair a noticeable damage. If it's an advertisement instead - the tread looks so thin it should be 4-plied to become easily visible. The colour looks plain: to me it's rather purple-blue than grey-blue. The overall impression is this sweater excels my previous wool ones but it's not luxurious if that could be expected.Edit: well, after having washed it I feel I must withdraw/correct my initial impression of "it is surprisingly rough" - it is delicate and soft to touch, at least now. I had it line dried (could not dry laid flat as recommended) and now it has a rope trace across. I hope it will vanish: I don't dare to iron as that's not mentioned on the care label.

I needed a 4ply cashmere sweater in dark grey for my husband, to replace his previous one. Except for super-expensive ones I could not find a 4-ply quality anywhere, until I found this one. It's a hit! Wonderfully soft, no pilling, perfect fit - it's one of my best purchases ever and worth every penny.

This is a nice, thick, warm sweater. However, it lacks the soft, refined texture of the dozen or so cashmere turtleneck sweaters I own and it is a bit itchy around my neck (which is why I buy only cashmere sweaters when they will touch my skin). The texture and feel is quite similar to some v-neck merino wool sweaters I own.

Thick and warm and soft. Good price. I wear this for 2 days skiing in Brian head and was sweating in it. The neck is a bit tight for me but that's my build, big neck, shoulder but small body. It's a good thing but I have to tailor all my dress shirts if I want to button up with ties.

There are a lot of decent cashmere sweaters out there and then there are better ones. This is a better one that will last a long time. I've worn it a couple times already and have gotten nice compliments. I'm pleased with the purchase.
