Excellent, Excellent, Excellent ... If you want both heat AND flavor this is the one to get. If you know and appreciate heat you recognize that when the sweat starts on the back of your head and works it's way down to your neck you "are there". As a reference point I made a 28 quart batch of chili ... yes, 28 quarts ... :) ... I added one level teaspoon to the entire batch and it gave me the perfect heat level. The chili is fairly hot to begin with and the addition of the Ghost Pepper added another layer of intensity and really made the flavor pop.One note of caution if you have never used a powder like this one ... Be VERY careful about inhaling as you are opening the jar or working with it. The experience will not be pleasant and I would have to assume it could be potentially dangerous.Enjoy!

My order arrived today and I had to dip a finger in and taste it right away (yes I'm a pepper head). The flavor was very good and typical of other Jolokia powders I've had--the distinct pepper flavor with a smokey-sweet edge to it. As for the heat, it did not disappoint--it ramped up to full intensity within about 20 seconds and lasted a good long while. I will definitely be enjoying this with my meals! If you can get it at the introductory price, it's an outstanding value for 2oz and I would strongly recommend it. Even at full price, I would say it's at least as good, if not better than any other Jolokia powder I've tried and well worthy of consideration.Note: this does not have a shaker top so you might want to order a 4oz spice shaker bottle with it.Enjoy!

I was hooked on Trader Joe's ghost chili peppers and a grinder, but that product was only briefly available and seems to never be coming back to the store again. So in desperation I went looking for this product. It's a little more expensive probably however it's very finely ground, so ounce for ounce it's probably a similar price to Trader Joe's, and once I had tried ghost chili peppers in my dishes I was never going back.The bottle has been shrink-wrapped and looks to be very fresh and attractive and I would say you're getting about well as much as would fit

I haven't had other Ghost Chili Pepper powder so I can't compare this to other brands. I used to add hot sauce or peppers to my food to kick up the heat. This is much easier and better. Unlike hot sauce I can make food as hot as I need without changing the taste. It is much easier than buying peppers, no prep just sprinkle or pour some on.The heat from the Ghost Chili is a little slower than some other peppers, but it gets really hot. It is like having someone build a bonfire inside your mouth.If you carry pocket sand you should think about using this instead. Just check your pockets for holes first.Someone please do the cinnamon challenge with this powder.

I use like a 1/3 of a teaspoon in a spicy cup of soup I make at times and the smoky flavor is so overwhelming that it's the only thing I end up tasting. And mind you, this is coming from a person that really adores smoky flavors.. but really, the smokiness is just too much and makes every other flavor practically disappear from your soup/dish.

It's not even remotely hot, and tastes waaaay too smokey. Literally smells like burning flesh (don't ask me how I know this hehe).

I made a batch of beef jerky and added half teaspoon per pound of meat. Tastes great and heat level 7 out of 10. I have used several peppers over the years but just learned about the ghost pepper. It takes several seconds then bam.Warning. I tried to taste the powder by dipping my finger in the jar and applying on tongue. Very potent. The jar will last quite a while. Would recommend. Fast shipping.

I haven't used this in a recipe for wings yet, but I have added to a beans and rice meal and it added a great heat! Once I make some wings, I'll add my findings. If it is as good as I am hoping, I'll change the review to 5 stars.
