I’m sure the cable was fine. We returned it b/c we were hoping it would work with the VR Occulus, but it did not.

I needed a really long USB cable to charge my phone from some portable solar panels I bought. I didn't want to be tethered (i.e. handcuffed) to the panels at a distance of 3-5 feet. This cable allows me some freedom of movement, and I like what I'm seeing as far as braided durability.Please be aware thought that this cable will not allow "turbo charging" of your cell or tablet. I'm not sure at what wattage that informal designation officially kicks in, but to give you some idea: My Amazon Basics USB-C cable is rated to 15 watts of charging. This cable (the one I'm reviewing here) says it's rated at "2.4A maximum" (2.4 Amps). Without the voltage, I can't calculate the wattage. All I can tell you is that my cell phone does not "turbo charge" or "rapid charge" with this cable. It's more of a trickle charge.Still, I will keep it, because I like the length, and the style (it's a nice, black, braided cable with black plastic ends).

Cables can be a total boondoggle, so I am wary of many brands and claims. Doing some research on neutrally written, well researched sites helps a lot. There are plenty of cables that make strong claims and charge a LOT of money for a simple conductor. Yes, technical details like the gauge of the wire, the quality of the contact elements, the overall design/build of the plastic parts, those all make a difference. So look closely at actual specifications if you really care about whether your 100 foot cable is going to carry USB 3 data transfer speeds. I got this cable to shoot a Hasselblad H6D camera tethered to a computer at work, the fact that the two cable ends matched what I have already keeps the tether simple and less likely to fail than if I add more adapters or boosters. I have been using this cable with that camera now for several months of regular, full-day use and it has performed flawlessly. The specs for the connector types and the length mean that it does not give me full USB 3 data transfer speeds, but it does meet the USB 2 requirements, so that is fast enough for my circumstances. Each photo is about a 100MB transfer and it takes about 2 seconds to complete. For this price I can comfortably have a backup on hand as well. Totally happy with the real world performance of this cable for me.

This cable was great for awhile but after a month or so it decided to start charging slowly, a charge that should have taken 1.5 hours was now 4. I tested the outlet, adapter, and phone to make sure that my brand new charging cable wasn't faulty, it was. Now the charging cable only charges when bent a certain way and now takes over 6 hours to fully charge my phone.

Bought this cable in July 2021. By December it overheated my phone to the point I thought it had killed the phone. Then it started charging slower and slower. Then it couldn't maintain a consistent charge - super annoying when your phone has a rather ostentatious display for "now connected to power" like the Pixel 5a does. Today, I can plug the charger in, make sure battery icon indicates it's charging, move absolutely nothing and walk away...only to return hours later to find the phone hasn't charged one bit. Meanwhile the phone is fine with other charging cables. Save your money!

Works great on charging on the XBox controller and Xbox wireless headset when need to recharge the rechargable batteries in them.I have no issues and its long enough to reach the machine and charge the rechargeable batteries in my controller when i am playing and it wont turn off. Mind you, you have to buy the rechargeable microsoft battery kit. Standard rechargeable batteries wont work.

So far so good. Works for PS5 controller. Had to buy this because I used to use usb female to male extension cable, but it didnt have enough juice for the DS5 PS5 controller. I use it with a PC, not PS5.

I wanted a longer cable for charging & still being able to use my phone in bed on those nights I can't sleep, & this is / has been a great cable. I waited to write this for about 4 to 6 weeks because most cables start to show a breakdown in this time. This one hasn't. Definitely would buy this again & would highly recommend them !!!!
