So many possibilities
The media could not be loaded. This is a good wood burning tool and soldering iron. It doesn't take long reading the 'instructions' to figure out that English is not their main language. They do give tips on how 'not' to use it, so if you follow them, you will have a lot of fun out of this tool. Mainly, don't come on strong with this, you are not forcing the tips onto the wood, you are "placing" it on or along the wood to burn it, not forcing the tool into the wood, ....that is for carving tools... ya know? Check out the temperatures for both soldering and burning and make yourself a note where you can use it for quick reference, as well as converting the 'C' into 'F' temps. The conversion of the tool from burning to soldering is a snap,(see the video), and it has a handy little chuck for Exacto blades too. I hope this helps, it looks like a nice little kit with a sturdy case to hold everything. Happy wood burning guys!

Impressive Kit
The media could not be loaded. I was impressed by this kit.Been using it for few days for my 18650 battery build. It heat up really quick, and temperature is adjustable, even tho it only has max output 65W, it can reach temperature of 400 degree.Comes with all the tips you need. Easy to change the tip according to your application. This unit also comes with an interesting tool. A manual un-soldering tool. I was very surprised how easy it is to use. It can be operated in one hand, quick and easy to clean afterward. It is a good kit to have in the house, for a small e-project building. 100% recommend people to buy it.

Useful, Versatile, with Confusing parts
The ceramic heat element, its casing, and the tips seem well made and likely to last, however the plastic parts need cautious handling as they are not of the sturdiest make. The variety of brass tips is wonderful and even the simple looking ones have subtle angles that provide interesting effects and depth to the burnwork. There is also a cleaning sponge and a pen rest for when it is hot. It is easy to handle, light, versatile, and instantly satisfying ( why do I like to burn wood? no idea ). I like it quite well.It is not safe for anyone under 14 years, maybe even 16 years, depending on the individual. There are no safety features. The temperature dial is too small and hard to turn. The lack of a readable diagram, explanation for part use, and any instructions whatsover is inexcusable. The included leaflet lists only minor maintenance tips, electrical warnings and two terribly small, nearly useless part pictures. Some pieces are repetitive and some make no sense. After an hour of research, my 20 year old daughter discovered that some of the parts are for soldering on motherboards. That gave me a chuckle-the juxtaposition of motherboards with wood burning. The rating is primarily for the parts, because I assume the company will improve the documentation.

Not very happy with it.
Well I was super excited about this and all my hopes got shot down... The instructions were not very clear at all. It just leaves you to fill in the blanks for yourself. So I managed to get everything ready and set up to start with the help of Google and about 2 min into my project of burning my son's name on his regular non treated or painted wood just a 2X8 that we made a shelf out of and the whole metal part of it started melting off the rubber where you hold it. The instructions that came with it said for wood to set it to 400°-420°C so I set mine to 400° and go from there and that's what happened... My husband, whom has a lot more knowledge in this than what I do, looked at it and came to the conclusion it's just poorly made. So, bottom line ya get what ya pay for... $20 I thought was a reasonable price but apparently not...

It heats up, but doesn’t stay together all to well
It’s ok...the tips kept trying to unscrew while burning the wood. Some of them bent with very little pressure. It didn’t seem to get hot enough although the dial was easy to use. Ended up buying a weller, but will keep this as a back up if ever needed. The choices of tips were better than the weller. It just doesn’t get hot enough and the tips had too many parts to not loosen up while it was burning.

Great beginning wood burning kit
This worked great for a project, definitely have so test material first so you know how it will come out. The one thing I was say is to buy a soft grain sanding sponge and have it near buy, when stuff builds up on the wood burner it almost stops working, easy fix is to gently use the sanding sponge to remove the build up.

A Decent Foam Carving Tool
We use this wood burning kit to create Halloween decorations out of foam. The various tips can be used to carve letters into tombstones and chip away at our foam mausoleum facades. The kit helps keep everything together, and while we can't say if they'll work for wood burning projects, they work great for the foam projects we purchased them for.

Doesn't heat consistently
I like the large variety of attachments for this wood burner. However, the heat element drops too much before it begins to heat up again. That makes it very difficult to get good consistent burn on my wood project. I've had other, much cheaper and more simple, wood burners that worked much better and I was able to do many intricate designs. I had a project I wanted to do for my daughter's wedding and it just didn't work well enough to create the design well enough to give her. Very disappointed and would not recommend.
