you get what you pay for
I got this for my shower as I like to listen to sport talk radio...or maybe some ACDC in the am to help wake me up...I had some old boston acoustic speakers in my bathroom, and probably was often a bit to generous on the volume...which my roommate was not a fan of.Pro's: easy to set up and connect via blue tooth....and ummm, I guess the suction cup works well....Con's: I had to stick this thing at ear level to try and hear anything come out of it. There is no volume control on the speaker, just the phone / ipad, or whatever is connected controls the volume...which doesn't make too much sense since this is to control it from inside the shower...I would put the volume all the way up before I would get in the shower and it was still barely audible. I will say this -- I have since moved and in my new bathroom it is a little easier to hear. Maybe I had an oddly loud shower, but it is still not great...also since then, it seems to only hold enough of a charge to last for 1 shower (I take 5-10 min showers). I turn it off before getting out of the shower every time I use it, but now when I go to shower after the gym, or the next morning after using it for the first time post-charge, the battery is dead and I need to recharge again! It also seems that it somehow has gotten even quieter than it's original mouse-like decibel level...I assume that it somehow got water in side, or one of the few times the suction cup did not hold up to my previous comments and fell to damp shower floor, it just took a hit it could not recover from......I now just put my iphone or ipad on full volume, leave it by the window sill and it works better than this thing...I don't doubt that others have had better experiences with this, and for cheap price point, I knew it would be a coin flip. I'll probably buy something a bit nicer down the line.

Guess I was wrong
Update: I guess there is a volume "button" it's the same button as the skip forward and skip back button. You have to hold down either button to change the volume. Thanks to K. Conner. Now that Im writing this, I actually thought about doing that in the shower, but didn't since I thought that was a dumb idea, haha. Either way I can admit to when I make a mistake. I just didn't read carefully enough. After using this in the shower a few times, the volume is pretty loud for me. So I've changed my rating also. I love having music that I can hear in the shower! Again I would recommend it.If anyone cares here is my original review:Do you know whats annoying about music? When it's too low or loud and you can't control the volume!! When I first connected it to my computer it was pretty low. I couldn't find a volume button, and I looked at the instructions. None, it's a little weird for a speaker not to have a volume button. You have to turn the volume up on the device your connected to. So basically turn it all the way up. It's loud enough to ear in the shower, but you won't be able to hear classical music all that well. You can skip songs, so that is a plus. When you power off the device (by holding down the power button for a few seconds) whatever device you have it hooked to will go back to whatever volume before, so you don't have to worry about the volume being turned up all the way. It did fall off the wall, so make sure to put water on it before sticking it. I would recommend it.

Loud, some annoying features and a little hard to use but good audio quality and sync with video
This paired easily with several bluetooth sources (iPhone and Clearsounds Stereo TV BT transmitter ASIN: B004T0CEBK) (not paired at the same time). The volume is loud, but it turns on too loud for my use and there seems to be no way to adjust the default or have it retain the last volume setting. There is also a series of tones that are generated when it turns off - regardless of the volume setting those are very loud - almost max volume and is disturbing to people in another room that are sleeping. The volume controls are a little hard to use, you have to press and hold the "track/skip-song" buttons for a few seconds to adjust the volume. This usually results in you going above or below where you wanted the volume and then you need to adjust in the opposite direction. It would have been better to have the volume up/down be a single press and the track changes be the long presses. Also the buttons inside the rubber housing tend to "roll around" when you press so it feels awkward and you are not sure if you have pressed the button correctly. If you are not careful when you press and hold the power button to turn on/off you can accidentally put it in pairing mode - which requires you to go to the transmitter and re-pair. Since my transmitter is in another room, this is a hassle. Pairing sequence should have been a separate button or combination of buttons IMO.Sounds quality on the speaker is very good.Volume can get pretty loud without distortion. We are using this with a bluetooth transmitter to have an alternate speaker for a TV and there is no noticeable lag or sync issue between the audio and video.
