Amazing, but very simple IoT sensor modules and system...
Edit 12/31/19...After 4 months of Tempy use in my NC house (I live in FL), I got an alert notification (which I had created 4 months ago) yesterday saying that my refrigerator was above 48 F. I called the POA at our NC development, and they went to my house and confirmed that the temperature was higher than it should be (49 F by that time) and they called to have it checked and fixed. It is back in action as of today with no problems thanks to Tempy!!! Love it.Original review:This device/system is very cool and very easy to setup. I bought the 2 pack, and I've placed one sensor module in my refrigerator, and the other one on the floor underneath it, so that I can detect and respond quickly to my next "icemaker leak" or "refrigerator failure", should those ever happen again.I easily setup alerts on both sensors and should those events occur, "cloud.tempy.io" will automatically send me an email alert if the temp goes up in my refrigerator to above 45 or if the humidity at the base of the fridge goes above 55%. If I get such an alert, I can call the POA for remedial action... and save on that big Servepro bill I had last year as well as the agony and worry!I have contacted the company so that I can order 5 more modules...wish I had gotten the 5 pack to start. I'm going to add them also to my NC summer house to monitor it over the winter in most of the rooms, and for sure those with pipes that could freeze and fracture (it's happened) if the temps get too low in the house for whatever reason. I'm also going to put one in my cat's room to make sure that at night it is not getting too cold.Tempy.io is highly recommended; it is very useful for sure, and just plain fun too. If you need it, get it, you will be pleased. If you just want to have some fun with beautiful, full-stack, IoT technology sensor modules and gateway, get it...and you'll probably find a very good use for it, as I have.

Perfect for a greenhouse and many other locations
I wanted to monitor and log temperatures for a small greenhouse without having to run wires or power out to it. Many options seem to rely on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and phone apps to work. The Tempy sensors connect to their own base station that is wired into my home network for internet connectivity. That certainly gives them better range than normal Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and seemed like the more reliable option to me. Sensors don't seem to be tied to one specific gateway either so they'll connect to any gateway that is closer whether it is another one of yours, a neighbor, etc. I believe the company mentions a theoretical limit of 1000 sensors per gateway. Using two AA batteries in the sensors also pretty much guarantees they'll last longer than the sensors that use coin cell batteries. I'm sure it'll be many years till I can say for sure how long the batteries last.Setup is quick and easy. Just follow exactly what they do in the short setup video on the Tempy website and it worked perfectly. The sensors are maybe a couple hundred feet away from the gateway in the house through several walls and the signal strength is still great. The website is very simple to navigate on both desktop and mobile. It shows everything you want to know, does not appear to have any limit on how long data is kept and you can download all past data for each individual sensor as a CSV file. The CSV file makes a great data backup and can be used to create your own graphs in Excel, Google Sheets, etc.So far I'm quite happy with these sensors and will probably order more just to satisfy other temperature curiosities. Throw one in the attic, crawl space under the house, etc.

Update
I have placed in a second home. When set up worked fine for 24 hours. Now I can't connect and support is dismal. I contacted several times without any "support". I need to go to the home and resetup. I will update this review after reconnecting.I received remote support and the 2 units are working great. I am pleased with the results and graphic read out.

Humidity readings not accurate
I bought this sensor to track the humidity in my attic as I was having a mold problem. After tracking all summer, the humidity readings seemed to low to be right. I took both the sensor out of the attic and the one mounted outside and put them next to each other. They can be anywhere from 15-25% percent different in there report values over the past 2 weeks. I contacted support, to see if my sensors where bad, and after a few replies, they stop replying. I will mention that there was a clear plastic film over the sensor area that I did not remove when I first installed them (I did not see it), so it could be possible this damaged the sensors. The temperature readings seem right (I ignore the barometer and dew point so I have no idea if these are right. Very disappointed.

Great Product
This is an awesome product. Would like to add 4 more when the are back in store. Really an amazing set up. Highly recommend. We have one in our garage freezer and one in our kitchen fridge, both fridges broke down and we were notified right away, saving us valuable dollars. Sweet set up too. Iam a techie guy, and the Website is well though out and with a modern look and easy to use, with a lots of options. Highly recommend. Recommend to all of our neighbors and friends in the states. Looking forward to buy these as gifts for our families and employees too. Thanks for an awesome product.

Close, but skip it, doesn't work as advertised.
Phone app doesn't work, software displays in imperial but the values it outputs are still in metric. Email alarms don't work.

Good sensor, bad connection
Used in an industrial plant. It takes a bit to find a connection if going through multiple buildings. I had to place hub outside to get good connection with the probs inside the space to monitor. With hub and sensors inside buildings it is hard to get a connection.

Temperature measurement error is more than 14 deg. Celsius
Really easy to install, but I really could not tell what this device actually measures. I set on in the green house and one outside. I shows 5 C in the green house while I am there in just a tee-shirt (definitely above 20) Outside is around 15 C but other sensor shows just 9 C. It does not seem that any calibration is possible. Better to avoid!

Works perfectly.
I used the Tempy 2 to monitor the temperature in my hot tub as well as inside the house at my recreational property. It was easy to install and set up - took about 1/2 hour. The Tempy device in the hot tub is inside the motor cavity box and about 50 ft. from the Gateway inside the house. The reception is perfect and I have never had and interruption in data. About two weeks after installing it I learned that on cold days the temperature inside the motor cavity of the hot tub had dropped to below freezing, minus 5 degrees C. As a result of Tempy I became aware of this and installed some insulation in the cavity. The temperature now never goes below 5 degrees C. I also now know the temperature inside the house and will be alerted if the furnace fails and the temperature drops below 10 degrees C. Tempy is a must for any recreational property where there is not someone in the house on a regular basis. It is also a must for a hot tub in cold climates.
