Untangler Super-Groom Combs (Black, 22 Coarse-Teeth)

Bought it for a friend who just acquired a puppy with hair, not fur...I had three Maltese the oldest past away at the age of 16 1/2. Maltese have hair, not fur. They hate brushes, specially if they get some kinks or a burr after playing outside. They hated brushes period. This comb is fantastic..each tine moves/turns on itself independently of all the others which means that when it hits a snag it goes through it smoothly and removes it with no pain. If too tight, then give it some help, and hold on to the scalp or the other end so you dont go at it too harshly. but in the end you never have to cut the burrs, or hair off. The comb takes care of that..& if you have daughters with thick coarse hair! what a Godsend! my visiting nieces kept stealing the spares I had. So, I always bought more than I needed and kept for dogs and humans!

My kitten recommends this comb HIGHLY!!!! It has rolling teeth in the comb that easily remove tangles - must be used however every day or every other day. I had other rolling tooth combs, but their teeth were not spaced far enough apart and it was not comfortable for her. Her fur is so thick, that the narrower teeth would not pass through the fur without pulling. The Untangler Comb is comfortable and goes through the fur without difficulty. If used before the tangles get close to the skin and start pulling, we have a happy kitty. That is why combing must be done every day or two.

I love this product because it doesn't tear through the dogs hair. With the rotating tines it seems to go through matted hair better than the other type.

Makes grooming our long hair Persian cats much more pleasant for all of us.

Two Lhasa mixes. We have about 4 of these laying around the house. We live in the country...they comb out the burrs very well. The dogs don't mind them like they do the brushes.

It works. Our Yorkie has long fine hair that reaches the ground...and the dirt, leaves and anything in the path. Frequent baths and grooming is a must; this has made the tasks far easier.

This is without a doubt the best implement I think I have ever purchased considering functionality and price. I like it better than other deshedding rakes I have. I go over my dog with a slicker brush first and then proceed with this little jewel. What I like about it is it tends to hold the hair in the comb until you are ready to remove it so it is not going all over the place like it is with a regular deshedding tool. I also have a furminator that I still use to get really fine hair behind the ears and other spots where I want a finer toothed tool. It is also less painful for the dog due to the spinning/rotating teeth. One of my dogs is a pyrenees and has a long thick coat so it is just ideal. I could not be more pleased with it!!!

I have to add my endorsement of this wonderful detangler comb. I have a Shima, and the breeder recommended it. I bought one for my mother, who has a Shima also. Don't know how we would get by without them. The teeth get through the coat to the base, where many mats start. Rounded teeth, so it is gentle to their skin.
