Relativity: The Special and the General Theory - 100th Anniversary Edition

Interesting but not as clear as it could be
I find Most books that try to use a narrative to describe physics, rather than using mathematics to be hard to follow. That’s probably just me. Or maybe physics is just more conceptually difficult than math. It seems that the great discoveries were most often made first and the math followed. So I’ll probably never excel at theoretical physics . Oh well. I’ll keep trying.

Realitivity
Should one want to learn about Reactivity with minimum effort and minimum math , this is a great book for understanding without taking a course in physics

I have no clue about the real link between specific time coordinating relationships after reading this book let. Maybe after second overview of it I will have gained better understanding of the functionality of time space continuum.
It’s a very interesting book but not generally a easy one for me. The after wording gave me the much needed info or translation of the intended message from the author in much simpler words.

Great Content. Great Copy
The content is five stars. I regularly give this book as a gift to curious minds. This one has good print copy, so five stars it staysPlus, I love the feel of the hard cover, and the finish on the page edges gives it a great character. This one I keep for myself.

I've browsed this book, which will be my next ...
I've browsed this book, which will be my next read. I purchased this book based on my current read, "Einstein" by Walter Isaacson, published by Simon & Schuster. I'm about 99% sure "Relativity The Special & The General Theory" will be way over my head, but even so it will find a welcome place next to "Einstein" in my own library.

Relativity by Einstein himself
I very much enjoyed this book. It expanded my understanding on the theory of relativity by Einstein's own hand, which is what I was searching for when I purchased the book. I also especially enjoyed the later sections, which help the reader understand the concepts as written. As a published author of eBooks, I find it appalling that a reader would attack this book and author by a "one star" rating - just because he doesn't believe in the theory. That's like attacking Dairy Queen because you don't like ice cream. It's completely unwarranted and juvenile. And despite this person's raving arguments "against" the theory, yes, the theory is proven even 100 years later by people much smarter than you. The atomic clocks on the international space station are slow by 0.007 seconds every six months, and the GPS satellites are ever so slightly faster (because they are in geosynchronous orbit - same speed but less gravity). So yes, the theory is proven and the book is a great representation of what it is. So thanks to the author for a well organized and informative book. You get 5 stars from me.

Great read, quick ship. Using this book in my 'Einstein's Philosophy of Science' seminar right now.

Great historical document
Five stars as a historical document and because having Relativity explained by Einstein himself makes one feel quite emotional. As a popular science book, one can perhaps find many more accessible texts introducing the general concepts of Relativity (Einstein was the first to admit not to be a great popular writer). As a footnote (pun intended), I don't understand why Einstein's original booklet (from page 12 to 178) is reproduced with a massive margin at the bottom (5cm, or 2in; see picture); it looks like an "anastatic reprint" (basically a photo of the original English translation), but if Princeton University Press really wanted to preserve the original format they could have adapted the rest of the book, rather than wasting all this blank paper.Overall, even if I have struggled at times with all the geometrical descriptions, I am glad I have managed to read this incredible book from start to finish.

The book is flawed! Probably best to avoid.
The opening page has a massive glaring error in its example. The writer writes about seeing the train station move away into the distance but how can that be if you're not moving? If you're trying to explain something make sure that you're making sense. I stopped reading after I found this error.
