Does not come with SharkBite connections
The description for this product enthusiastically claims, "Cash Acme's full port ball valve now comes with SharkBite connections for easy installation". I understood this to mean that the SharkBite fittings were either built-in or were included in the package since the picture does not show the detail for the outlet port.However, I received a Cash Acme NCLX-5 with 3/4" npt fittings on both inlet and outlet. Not a SharkBite in sight. As it turns out Cash Acme does sell an extensive selection of SharkBite fittings but they certainly don't come with this T&P valve. So this product's description is a bit too enthusiastic.If you want a 3/4 T&P valve with a 3 inch thermostat probe (it requires about 3 1/2 inch clearance inside the heater) this one seems well made and as the package says, "Overbuilt is an understatement". Now if the seller corrects the SharkBite overstatement I would give more stars.

The item description however is inappropriate: Though manufactured by the same people who own the SharkBite patent, this item installs in the customary manner by way of pipe threads, both for its insertion into the tank/pressure vessel and for hookup of the overflow pipe, i.e. no Shark Bite features here at all.
