Clear, concise and very useful
I have studied a number of breathing practices (pranayama and taoist Qigong) but I found that this book was succinct and clear in its exposition (great editor!) and the practices are gentle but quite powerful. They are helpful for someone like me that needs a bit of structure in their practice, rather than being told just to sit and "follow my breathing".I especially liked its emphasis on the chakras which one can hopefully begin to experience first hand, rather than as theoretical constructs. The DVD was very helpful also as I was able to see the hand positions rather than figure out the description in words. I have been recommending this to my friends and am keen to look at some of his other works on sound meditation and dreams.Don't be dissuaded by the scanned pages for the "look inside", there are a lot of practices with diagrams, with different emphases, beyond the theory. Whoever had the bright idea of scanning 5 pages of blank pages meant for "Practice Notes" obviously wasn't doing their job with mindfulness...

Amazingly clear, beautifully written & powerful 'til the last word.
The title is supported by the content. It is really an awakening, of your senses, your perception and your energy. Beautifully written that opens your inner being to a different layer of reality. It is a true jewel and a great opportunity for westerners to interact with a millenary tradition that unlock the inner sage that everybody has. And Tenzin Wangyal Rimpoche, what a teacher, successfully bringing the keys to the west, terms like the pranas, lungs, chackras, are clearly explained that sounds true in every paragraph. May you find the inner joy at the level that you are.

Excellent Meditation Tool
I was first given this book to me by my pain management Dr. He said this will help me with the chronic pain that I have had since April 2011. Though it has not cured the issue that I have, (nerve damage in base of my neck) it has given me relief and some power over the pain. I recommend this book and the other books Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche has written, because he give you an easy to understand method that does not take you long to incorporate into your daily schedule, but has many benefits.

Very clear instruction and the DVD helps a lot.
I am lucky enough to be in the area where Tensin Wangyal Rinpoche is teaching from this book. The DVD that comes with the book is wonderful. He explains the practice very clearly and the DVD helps. I really recommend it for anyone interested in the breathing and movement practice he is teaching.

another great book from an outstanding teacher
I have tried complicated Lung practices before and always ended up abandoning them because of the difficulty. Suddenly, with this great teacher,the practices are crystal clear and easy to do, with immediate results. all of Tenzin Wangyal's books are worth reading. I find the book a complete in depth guide in itself. The DVD is just icing on the cake.

Really teaches about changing thinking
I have purchased several of Tenzin's books. They are deep and practice come with benefits. Change your mind and change your life. Stress is inevitable, but with his teachings, I am able to practice and can work through the feelings of reaching for a tranquilizer or a drink. I follow his teachings on Youtube also.

Good with confusions and repetition.
The authors tried hard to write a simple book to help solving complicated mental issues of human minds.However, there are confusions in listing the locations of chakras in The Five Tsa Lung Exercises. For example, on page 38, the five chakra locations are at crown, heart, throat, navel, and secret chakra (which is located four finger-widths below the navel). Then, on page 68, pervasive Tsa Lung exercise: "bring your breath to the junction of the three channels, four finger-widths below the navel. Again, on page 71, :"our attention to the secret chakra, located at the base of the central channel, four finger-widths below the navel.I am not clear if any chakra is at navel?

Breathing---IN & OUT
Wonderful! I had been taught this method of meditation a few years ago but this Book/DVD brought special insight into all that I was missing. This allows for a more indepth practice. The book is informative and concise; well written and easily understandable but the DVD really brings the information home. I am enjoying very much.

It is amazing that after only 3 months of following the advices ...
I just bought it because I have followed the training of the Yoga of sleep and dreams and I want to know more about the thousand years old Bön training and tradition. It is amazing that after only 3 months of following the advices of Lama Wangyal Rinpoche that I had the visit of the blue dakini Salbyed dos Bralma during the middle of the night in a kind of a bolt of light right at my heart level generating a wonderful burning bliss. So how is it possible not to want to go on and further on that road ? Thank you !

Letting go
I enjoyed this book very much and learned a lot from it. But I especially liked doing the practice on the DVD - I just love it. It is simple, enjoyable and beneficial. Practising mostly every day I feel a great benefit - calm-energy-acceptance of what comes in the day ahead and self awareness.
