Wesbar 403075 Submersible Tail Light, Over 80" Wide Trailer, Right/Curbside

I have a 2017 5x8 Karavan utility trailer that had a broken right taillight (as seen from the picture). While Karavan does sell replacement lights, they are only available through a few distributors, who all charge $20+ for the light and $10+ for shipping, so ~$35 and slow ground shipping. Doing some investigation the Wesbar looked very similar so I thought I'd take a chance on it, and I'm glad I did.Housing, mount, and dimensions wise both lights are exactly the same. The only differences between the Wesbar and my original Karavan light (Part# 205-00156-NA-A) is the red reflector casing looks slightly different (in the rear picture the right light is the Wesbar, the left light is the OEM Karavan one). Wiring wise they are almost identical, however the white ground wire from my broken light ended in a plug vs. the ring terminal on the Wesbar, so I simply reused the ground light wire from my OEM light on the Wesbar light to preserve the "plug and play" and that was the only modification I had to made, which was extremely easy.In the end the Wesbar light works the same, and looks nearly identical to the Karavan light, at half the cost and shipped in just 1 day with Prime shipping. In the future if I ever break another light I'll just get another Wesbar one again

As the title says, "it lights up!" That is obviously the intended function, and it works great.I have a Sea Doo Speedster boat on a trailer made by Caravan. Someone broke my right-hand ("passenger side" of a car) tail light when I was on the lake. I couldn't find an exact replacement locally or online, but I did find this one that had the same dimensions. I ordered it, and the holes fit perfectly on my trailer. The plastic "ribbing" on the inside of the light is a slightly different pattern than the other side, but unless you closely inspect you would never know they aren't perfectly matched. Bulb intensity is the same as the other side, which is good. The wiring was easy, although I did have to just use wire cutters to cut off the little plug on the end. The wire colors match exactly with the trailer wiring, so it only took me about 15 minutes of time to install from start to finish (and lots of you could probably be done in under 5 minutes).I have now been using the new light for a couple of months, and have had no issues. As with any light, be sure to unplug your trailer before backing into water, or your bulbs may burst due to the temp change (that previously happened to me on the other side - live and learn, rookie mistake!).Bottom line, if you need a replacement light that is this size, I highly recommend this option. Cheap but does the job!

Direct fit. Sucks I have to buy the whole lite if the lens breaks, or the bulb burns out! Stupid!

I have a 2019 5x8 Karavan utility trailer that I busted the right light on. Note, this is less than 80" wide. Found this as a replacement and it fit great. The quick connectors for power were an excellent bonus, but it lacked the quick connect for ground. I used an inline wire splice instead. Not going to ding this on them since it's not marketed towards this specific setup.Update 5/2020Went to go use my trailer again and found the whole red lens gone. It appears to have just broken free of the adhesive (clean removal) all the way around. Removing one star.

UPDATE: I am replacing this light. I have had nothing but trouble with my trailer lights since installing it. I will say this is not submersible. The housing is not creating an air pocket so the interior gets wet and shorts out once you reattach power to the trailer. I've tried to adjust the light and writing, but the housing has to be bad.I previously replaced the left light set and wanted both taillights to match. Replacement is simple and effected by a universal (generic) wire plug and ground loop. However, the primary bulb, which is a two filament design, arrived with a burned out primary filament. I had a replacement bulb so not worth sending back, but then by the second use of the trailer I noticed that the right tail light was no working. Upon inspection it appears that the design (air pocket that limits water exposure) seems to not work on this light. Once the unit was dried out it appeared to begin working again. Now, we do unplug power to the trailer when backing into water so as to avoid shorting the system or blowing a fuse, but the light also gets wet in the rain so this type of issue shouldn't be happening. I rechecked the wiring and all I can gather is that there is something faulty within the light set itself.

Need to replace one of my light on my Karavan trailer. I don’t have a drop hitch on my truck and my diesel has a 4” lift running on 35s so it’s pretty high. With a normal tow hitch yeeeeaaah... Didn’t know I went over a bump driving and my right side light clipped the pothole and cracked open. Replaced them with this and straight plug and play I’m happy!

The description is invalid looking from the rear of the boat the left side is the driver side the right side is the passenger side this light is listed as the right side it is NOT!!!! it is the driver side don’t make the same mistake. Can’t blame seller wesbar also does this!!!! Have to return now
