Dawn to Dusk Bear Hug Anywhere Water Bottle Cage Mount for Gravel and Mountain Bikes

I hunted the internet and this is probably the best product that does this job. I used this bracket to mount a bracket to hold a electric bicycle wheel bottle battery and controller. The assembly weighs 3 lb but this bracket seems to be doing the job. The velcro straps are doing a pretty good job but I think I'm going to have to boost them because of the weight of this battery. However I'm very satisfied because the only other alternative would have been to drill into the frame and install hardware.

This is a great idea! My Cannondale eBike had no water bottle holder. The battery is inside the bike tube (not surface mounted), so we cannot drill into our bike (no way I would do that to my new shiny bike anyways). This worked perfectly and it is nicely cushion to avoid scratching.

I bought this to put on my new bike. It came with 1 set of screws for a water bottle. So I bought this for the times when I need an extra bottle. Works great and very easy to install.

Worked great to mount bear spray in glacier

I used this for adding a bottle mount to the underside of my downtube on my fat bike for trail riding. It worked well overall, but the velcro did detach from one of the straps when I was taking the mount off. We were able to sew it back on to continue using it. I wanted to transfer the bear hug to my 2022 Trek Top Fuel I just bought, but the straps aren't long enough to use on the downtube so make sure you measure before you buy.

I tried another one of these that was made in Germany and looked more legit. That product failed on the first try. This one has been perfect. I use it on my E bike since there is no place to attach a water bottle cage. This product has been perfect. The straps were long enough to fit around the larger down tube on my bike. I am about 10 rides in now and it has held up very well

I had to get this for a low end bike that I've upgraded. In reality this could work for any level bike tho. The super grippy surface that goes onto the tube is a really nice touch. You'd have to do downhill MTB to pop this thing loose.

I have a track bike without any water bottle bosses. I'm currently using a tri-bike behind the seat water carrier for 2 bottles. (repair kit and water). For extra long rides, I need an extra water bottle and that's where the Dawn to Dusk Bear Hug comes in. It allows me to hold a water bottle on the seat tube without issue. The seat tube is circular and tapers to the seat. Between the super tack surface material and the velcro, it's a very strong hold. Even on my hardest sprints, it still holds strong. It doesn't slide down or sway. The only sway I can generate is with a 1 L bottle, and even then it's minimal.
