This is your typical nylon rope. I like that it was neatly wrapped and wasn't frayed when I got it unlike some others that I have ordered. Easy to toss in the truck just in case you might need it. It's lightweight and strong. It can also be used outdoors without getting water logged and rotten. We usually keep a few tools, a first aid kit, and rope in each vehicle. This is the perfect size to stash in the back for those random circumstances that call for a rope. I'm sure you can use this for projects or tying things up outside, but my intention was to keep it in the vehicle.I was fortunate enough to receive this product at a promotional cost in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I tested this product prior to writing a review and I am free to write whatever I believe to be true, whether positive or negative.

I never have rope around the house when I need it - so I was really glad that I just received this for review as the timing was perfect! We just got a new mattress and needed to take our old one to the dump. If we wanted the city to pick it up, it was crazy expensive, the thing is, the old mattress wasn't going to fit into my car and needed to ride on top. I was able to use this rope to secure my old mattress to the roof of my car and worked great! I looped it over the mattress and through the roof rack area. Because this is so lightweight, I was worried it wouldn't hold and that we'd be "those people" with a mattress falling off the car, but good news! That did not happen! This rope worked well, held perfectly and I am excited to use it again and again! It is a nice size so I can throw this in our camping pack, too!
