this seems to be the book for SWR training and procedures, good guildlines for techniques. has some charters that I may never use but good to have knowledge

A good text for introducing what you need to understand before taking a course on swiftwater rescue. Combined with the guidance of experienced instructors, this book will be a good start to your water rescue career. As always, though, don't expect it to substitute for field work and safety sense...

Great book - slim ray has a great rep so you're learning from the top dog! Just don't judge it by its cover!!
