Performance reflects the high quality on the manufacturer, highly recommended for its speed and reliability achieved at a very competitive price. I have been using this in a nas drive for a year now and access it hundreds of times every day and it has never let me down.

Had this for a few months, unless its in another room it drives you crazy with the sound. Constantly clicking when accessed, and after a few months mine was make a squeaking sound when the drive arm was going back and forth.Good on Amazon for making returns straight forward. Purchased a 6TB WD Red drive instead, which is silent in comparison.

The drive was easy to install and the status was healthy in Windows Disk management.After an hour of use the drive started making a grinding noise. The drive no longer appeared in File Explorer or Disk management.Amazon's return policy is disappointing to put it mildly. I don't drive, so I've got to walk two miles to a UPS pick up point or return at my own cost.

My drive failed after I had transfered 12TB of data to it. It appears to be something wrong with the power as it occasionally works for 30 seconds so I can see the data is still there. Sent drive off to a data recovery expert.

Awesome speed and size, especially for the price I got it for.

Decidí darle la oportunidad a este Toshiba X300 de 6 TB's después de varios intentos fallidos con los Segeates Barracuda que he comprado en Amazon con diversos vendedores, basta decir que todos los Barracuda me ha fallado a los tres o cuatro meses de uso y no se si esto tenga que ver con su dudosa procedencia ya que llegan sueltos como si fueran usados y en un empaque que parece que agarraron la primera caja de galletas que se encontraron tirada en la basura y muy mal protegidos. Al recibir este Toshiba X300 lo primero que llama la atención es que este sí me llegó en un empaque que da gusto: ¡ En su caja original ! Y perfectamente sellado por lo que no deja dudas de que sí estás comprando un producto nuevo de fábrica, muy bien protegido en su interior y además la caja del producto venía a su vez dentro de un sobre alcochonado con burbujas de plástico ( buen detalle del vendedor ) por lo que ya desde que lo recibes te empieza a dar confianza de que todo va a estar bien. El precio es similar e inclusive ligeramente más barato que sus similares de Segeate agregando un plus más a este producto. Del funcionamiento lo que yo puedo decir es que hasta el momento todo ha ido bien, aclararando que en mi caso yo lo estoy utilizando como un Disco Duro adicional para almacenamiento de datos y archivos multimedia exclusivamente ya que yo cuento con un SDD M.2 en mi PC dedicado para Sistema Operativo y programas solamente, los datos y los respaldos se guardan en los Discos Duros Mecánicos como este. Al instalarlo y empezar a transferir mis primeros datos que fueron como 3 TB's, me di cuenta que sí hay una diferencia notoria en la velocidad de escritura de este disco que es de 7200 RPM en comparación con su antecesor de 5400 RPM por lo que agrego otro plus a esta compra que hasta el momento me tiene muy satisfecho. Acerca del ruido que algunos en otras reseñas dicen que hace, bueno yo lo que puedo decir es que el Disco Duro lo tengo instalado dentro de mi gabinete junto con otros Discos Duros de respaldo y cuando se le requiere ni siquiera lo noto, yo la verdad no escucho ningún ruido que venga del disco duro, ni cuando lee ni cuando escribe ¡ Claro ! Repito, yo no tengo ningún sistema operativo ni tampoco ningún programa instalado ahí, por lo que no se si ya utilizándolo como Disco Duro principal o para instalar programas o juegos la historia sea diferente pero en mi caso puedo escuchar mi música y ver mis videos que tengo ahí guardados muy a gusto sin ningún ruido extraño. Mi conclusión sería que si el Disco Duro sigue así como hasta ahora y no me da ningún susto en el futuro cercano, definitivamene me caso con esta marca y con este modelo en particular. En mi experiencia a Segeate hay que evitarlo a toda costa y Toshiba definitivamente creo que llegó para quedarse. Espero que esto les sea de utilidad.

Nice hard drive it works really well .The drive installed in a partitioned into three segments. There is no issues with install and everything went fine.It formatted pretty quickly for a large drive and has been extremely quiet. I put it in immediately under a 75% used backup and it had no problems or errors. The drive is extremely quiet. And no vibration or anything of concerns like that. I have ran several checks and found no issuesI did find the drive to be very quick compared to a similar size slower Drive and the difference is were exceptional.Enclosing the drive work is expected I gave it a couple of weeks to see if any noise developed the only thing that I did notice oh, was that it runs pretty warm. Now I have this in a external reader using a 3.0 USB port so it cools off pretty well I would think for being in an external situation. I am unsure how warm this would get if inside a case. So I cannot comment internally how this works but I did not find any noise or read and write

Pretty noisy, but it works perfectly as a storage drive.
