Sew Organized for the Busy Girl: • Tips to Make the Most of Your Time & Space • 23 Quick & Clever Sewing Projects You’ll Love

This was a waste of money for me. The organizing advice is simplistic enough that it's almost condescending. If you already sort fabric by color, use repurposed kitchen organizers for your sewing supplies, or pencil in sewing time on your calendar, you pretty much know all this stuff. Most of the projects are quilts, pillows, or organizer cases, and as a beginner, that last category does not offer detailed enough instructions for me. The 23 Projects count listed on the cover is also optimistic. It includes each size of pouch or pillow described, each piece of multi-piece sets, etc. So there are actually more like 12 kinds of things you can make.As someone who likely won't use any of these instructions anyway, this last factor isn't a big deal to me as it might have been... But the overall design of the book is pretty awful. It's got too many typefaces in a mess of weights, colors, and sizes, and one of them is poorly suited to the large chunks of text it's used for. Some of the project photos don't show the whole piece or what the bag looks like closed, and the flow of the content jumps around in an unclear way (like showing a huge, attention-grabbing picture of an entirely different suggested project alongside the baby quilt instructions). Even though the overall content didn't work for me, it's frustrating to see an author's hard work presented so poorly.

Safeguard your creative time!
I purchased Sew Organized for the Busy Girl a couple of months ago and it is one of my best buys ever! Heidi has a very encouraging and positive approach. She reminds us that sewing feeds our soul and creative spirit; we must build it in to our busy schedules or it will go by the wayside. I'm not a newbie when it comes to organizing, however this book offers a wealth of ideas for managing the stash and 'works in progress.' I'm personally taken with her Project Bags; I always have several projects going at once and it is so frustrating to have to re-gather supplies and wonder where I left off. The PB serves as a safe spot to collect project components. Her Project Bag printout helps me to remember where I found a pattern or idea. Countless times I've gone to my favorite blogs searching for a pattern, only to go down the rabbit hole spending several hours online. (Yes, there is an element of distraction here, but you get the idea.) Lastly, I just love all of the projects that Heidi has included in her book. I just might post some of mine on Pinterest, who knows? This book would also make a great gift for a quilter. Even if you are already organized and don't have a monster stash causing you guilt, this book will help stimulate your creative juices. I fully recommend this book and encourage you to buy it, you won't be disappointed!

It's OK, But I Wish There Was More
The book is a little disappointing. I am just starting to sew and I wanted something to help me be organized. Give me ideas on storing stuff, tracking my sewing supplies, displaying my supplies and I want it for all of my sewing projects not just quilting, which I am not into at this time. A small part of the book is about organizing and there are some question and answer sections to help you think about organizing. The rest is about making quilted items to be used as gifts and variations of the items. The projects look cute and I like how you can keep it simple or may it complicated. But what I really wanted was a lot of tips and ideas on organizing and storing my sewing area. Suggestions and maybe give me lists of standard sizes for some items so I would know the dimensions I know what storage size I need for now and for the future.

Great except for e-format
I love this book and its author is an amazing seamstress! SO many cute ideas! The only downside of this is that it isn't really optimized for use with the Kindle app on my laptop. ):
