I didn't think I wanted mitts with silicone, but these are not all silicone. Merely a 'web' over the upper portion, so they are still flexible. I did an 'acid' test with these by holding on to a very hot piece of stoneware for about 20 seconds (which is much longer than I would usually carry hot stoneware). Felt no discomfort through the mitt. The mitt itself remained hot for a longer period, but my hand was protected. Hopefully these will give me as many years of service as my old pair.

I bought these because some reviewers complained that they were too large. I am a man with large hands and most oven mitts made for women are of no use to me at all. I wear extra large gloves. These mitts fit comfortably!

Great oven mitts. Got them for a friend who has large hands. And these fit!!! Probably going to get some for our house now.

Gloves seem good. I’ve used them a few times now holding very hot and heavy cast iron skillets. No issues. Good price.
