Works great.
Using this with the Barebones all in one and it works great. Very large heating surface with easy control of the flame. Highly recommend for a burner. Will also use this with my 18" cast iron.

Works great
Replaced my burner in my outdoor cooker used for canning. Works great. Has a flame adjustment for intake air.

not bad but not great
The single mounting bolt under the burner barely reaches the threads with 1/4" mounting plate. I tapped it out to a common size of 1/4-20 and all is good. The regulator is hyper sensitive as the adjustment shaft wobbles very badly. I added a small o-ring to tighten up the slop between the shaft, knob and regulator. It made it predictably adjustable. All things considered if your willing to add a minor bit of improvement, it works well for the price. I would buy it again knowing now how to improve the installation and adjustment of the flame.

Offset smoker converted to LP
The Banjo Jr gas burner is a perfect LP burner to convert my Oklahoma Joe. The fuel hose and regulator slipped right through the wood box vent without modifying the smoker itself. I drilled one small 1/4" hole in the bottom of the wood box to fit a screw through to secure the burner. The burner can easily be removed and the wood box used as normal. I used a cast iron pan on the grate above the burner to hold my smoking wood chunks. The burner held the smoker at 250° for 10 hours. No charcoal, no mess, no water hose, no babysitting the smoker and way less smoking wood chunks.

Better than the original burner in my Smokey Mountain Smoker
Decided to try this to replace the rusted out burner in my Smokey Mountain smoker. I improvised a bracket to hold the burner and got the smoker working again. This burner holds a constant temperature much better than the smoker did when new. No problem holding 225 F. Adjusts down to a very small flame and up to way too high for a smoker. The original burner was bad about blowing out with light wind gusts. Wind will still blow out this one since I'm using a fairly low flame, but it happens much less often. It's a big improvement over the original.

Made a Portable Cooking Surface :-)
Saw this set-up at a 4x4 event recently, so I made one of my own.Excellent for out door cooking when there is an open fire (campfire) type restriction. The picture shows the burner on full open, but with it turned down, you can easily have plenty of heat and be able to cook a meal/boil some water etc etc.

worked great for a homemade turkey fryer
Used it this past thanksgiving for a homemade turkey fryer. I welded up a stand, put this under it on bricks and set a large stock pot on it with 4 gals of oil and of course a candy thermometer. Worked great for my first try at turkey frying (breast only in my smallish pot). After the turkey I fried sweet tater fries, breaded green tomatoes, green beans and apple hand-pies for desert. 100% fried thanksgiving! This thing has the capacity to put out alot of BTU's so it was a breeze to control the heat plus it was easy to crank it up to get it back up to temperature fast after putting in the cold turkey. The ring itself is a heavy-duty cast part and it has threaded feet in the bottom if you want to mount it more permanently.
