I bought the learning pod for my child who loves listening stories. There are 20 stories, and each story has 3 models: read, story and song. There is a green book in the box also. The book has 20 stories written in traditional Chinese and zhuyin by the side. Buttons were flashing while playing the songs, my child really like it and was dancing with songs!

I like that it has recognizable English folk tales. Good for listening to Chinese and your child is in control. This would work well paired with a kid who takes a Chinese class. This will not teach you Chinese but its good practice for listening.

This device was better than I was expecting. All I need to do is to put 3 x AAA batteries and my son can easily use it right away.My son loves to listen to the stories and repeat after that, and not only that he likes to sing the songs too. What a great way to let him speak in Chinese.

There are several stories/songs on this, but will be challenging to use and navigate if you do not understand mandarin.

Put in the batteries, doesn’t work. Also there is a warning to watch your child with item because it is flammable..

I wish the book was more of a book and not a pamphlet. And had English translation.

This was a disappointing purchase. The tablet is not intrinsic to figure out and the directions are very vague. They are also written in Chinese so it wouldn’t work for someone like me-I want my children to have language exposure but cannot read them language. Most frustrating is that the read along doesn’t have a beep or cue to turn the pages making it very difficult for children to follow along. It was a great concept but definitely misses the mark. The spoken stories are good but I would not have paid more money for the books if I had known they would be so difficult to use. There is an option to push pages one by one on the tablet but you have to mess with it to figure it out. Finally, the volume is quiet which is nice because most kids toys are way too loud. However, the loudest volume is still difficult to hear when the books are being read.
