What’s hopping in New Orleans? What’s cooking with Tiana and Naveen?
The Shadow Man’s curse has Tiana and Naveen a little green and totally amphibian. The prince and the waitress must break the curse by midnight on Mardi Gras or stay frogs forever. Can they find a princess to kiss Naveen in time? For anyone of any age that loves fairy tales, new spins on fairy tales, or Disney comics and manga, this is a treat. You’ve got a feisty heroine and a hero who’s willing to learn to cook. What else do you need? It’s a recipe for mayhem and a little romance, Disney style! In addition to the story, there’s a really neat info section introducing the main characters with notes about their character, their background, and insights from and about the supervising animator. There’s also a section of manga lover sketches that could be used for coloring or for learning to draw the characters. There are also sneak peeks at other Disney manga titles.Remember to follow the panels and conversation bubbles from right to left. There’s a handy reference that shows you the flow in numbers, so you won’t get lost. (Trying to read left to right will get your brain in a knot and make for some really weird conversations!)I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) from NetGalley. My opinions are my own.

Fun to act out with my daughter!
What a great point to mention Tiana being a figure of action, motivating their own story, as said by Supervising animator Mark Henn. This is a really cool book that gives insight behind the inspiration of the supervising animators.Introduction of characters and locations…written comic book style. This book can easily be acted out by friends…it’s almost script like. I had so much fun trading parts with my own daughter, since you get the words (as text bubbles) written almost like a script AND you get the expressions of that character…what fun!!!I have to say, it wasn’t the type of book I was first expecting, but I really-really did enjoy this format!

Just as good as the movie!
So for one, I am really happy that this is a manga. I am so excited. But I am disappointed in the lack of skin color. Everyone is white. Like just paper white that all. There is no diversity. The only thing colored is hair and eyebrows. I have seen a manga with dark skin characters they could have done that with this. But that was my only issue. The manga sticks to the story from the Disney movie and adds some insight which I really enjoyed. The manga though was short but covered everything from the movie. It was just as sweet and cute as the movie was. I hope many enjoy it!

Loved this story as manga
The Disney manga version of The Princess and the Frog is a fun and quick read. I love the twist on a classic fairy tale that I loved as a child. It was really cool to the this story in a different format, but still lively and engaging for all ages.*ARC provided in consideration for review*

Not pleased at all with this purchase
Very disappointed with this book. Cover was on upside down, no colour pictures and not appropriate for my 4 year old granddaughter. This was put straight in the bin. Basically a total waste of money.

For those who are confused on why it's backwards
So I've seen a lot of reviews on this saying it's backwards and in black and white. It's manga I tip of graphic novel sold in Japan there books are right to left. I don't know why but there ment to be that why.And yes it's supposed to be black and white because that how it's drawn.Hope this helps
