This magnet is super strong as advertised. The finish is very smooth and seems to last. The eyelet to connect a rope to the magnet is big enough to easily get a rope through. Very happy!

This magnet is strong and well made. It's fun to use to search for objects in the water.

I use this to pick up nails in the shop (tied an old rope on it and swing it around). Pretty good! Can even hold a hammer on it for a little bit

This is a perfect size for my use while out on my jetski. Tried it quickly a few times on the river and brought up some junk. Cant wait to find some treasure

Bought this to help me determine if some coins and metal bars are real or just plated.

Based on the description etc I was expecting this to be a very strong magnet that would be able to pull something within an inch of it. Maybe that's just me not knowing enough about these magnets, but in reality it didn't seem any stronger than one of my fridge magnets. I can't speak of how much weight it could hold as I returned it the day I got it. Maybe it will work for some but just wasn't for me.

Construction seems to be quite sturdy as required for such a strong magnet.
