I have primary Sjogren's syndrome with severe dry eye. Was recommended these on the basis that they might last in my eyes a bit longer than other drops. They do exactly the same - so pleasant to put in, and they are effective - but only for half an hour. If you get another hyaluronate drop on prescription, stick with that - there's no extra benefit to be gained in paying for these.

I had my eye cut quite deeply couple of years back. It healed, but from time to time the cut seem to "open" up again. It's enough for me to take the drops once in the morning and once in the evening for few days and everything gets back to "normal".
