Pearls Goes Hollywood (Pearls Before Swine) Paperback – March 24, 2020

If you want to be entertained by a sweet, positive outlook, this collection is based in a very different divergent reality. But this book was one that is supremely comforting for anyone who who likes to escape from our reality.

A great addition to my Pearls Before Swine Treasury collection! There’s a great forward and commentary from the author and illustrator, and the comic, as well as the comments, are hilarious!This comic strip is one of the only strips I still read today, and it always puts a smile on my face with the social commentary and the characters.

This is the 3rd Treasury book I have gotten and they are most enjoyable. The Treasury books are about a years worth and are a better deal than the smaller books. During the current pandemic, they are a good distraction from current events and will brighten up your day. You will reread these in the future and enjoy them all over again.

Another success! It was delivered on the release date and was a surprise for my 12 year old fan! My son promised to finish his school work before reading the new book, but Pig, Goat, and Rat’s magnetism sucked him in by the thunderous laughter that rolled out of his room for the next few hours. Thank you for giving us something to laugh about during this difficult time in the world!

First of all, it's Pearls. If you know the comic and you know Stephan's writing style, you'll love the book.And for the comic on top of page 17, all I have to say to Mr. Pastis is: you missed the obvious. You should have said you were going to do a 180 and be self-complemEntary.(Yay, puns and math!)

I had to buy this for my husband's birthday. The "Pearls" collections are his favorite bathroom reading. We are remodeling our bathroom this year, and the plan is to have a shelf just for all the "Pearls" books. Sorry Stephan.

I love Pearls Before Swine and Stephan Pastis! I do miss the Vikings though, so if you're reading this Mr. Pastis, please bring them back! I share these books with my Mom, she loves them, too!

There’s something about “Pearls”. It’s not got the best art in the world, some of the jokes will make your toes curl, the puns will make you groan, but I guarantee you will end up with a smile on your face at the end of it.This is a treasury edition collecting about 18 months' worth of strips. All the regular folks are present, Pig, Rat, Goat, the wonderful Guard Duck, and of course the crocs. The strips jump from cynicism to puns, to outright silliness, all connected with a sense of pure fun.As it’s a treasury edition there are little comments from the author dotted around. These range from comments about the strips down to complaints about his sister with tongue stuck firmly in his cheek.A wonderful collection of a wonderful strip.

Item was exactly as advertised, priced correctly, packaged properly and I received it within two or three days. All in all this was yet another great amazon transaction.

In these trying times this book ( and other Pearls treasuries) are great to have when you're quarantined.
