Modification necessary... 25mm wide tires MAX
I ordered these to mount on my 2014 Specialized Secteur Disk Sport. I have read about other fenders and mounting options and decided that these were what I wanted. The mounting was not hard... although you can see that I had to bend ALL of the fender support rods in order to fit my application. I anticipated that, but especially the rear disk side there were some tight clearances. This was compounded by the frame mount pannier rack I am running as well. The clearance and mounting for the rear done, I focused on the front. I didn't realize that my bike did not allow for a through bolt on the front fork. The fender instructions are to mount the center pivot to the front of the fork, but I was not able to do that. I mounted the fender to the rear of the fork between the down tube and steer tube and to be honest, I like having more coverage in the rear to protect my feet. I have no shoe overlap in turns and no rubbing on the tire or ground. I may also make a spacer to lower the front fender, which is probably not recommended by Planet Bike.**NOTE** The one thing I would caution about is that these fenders are listed as 700cx35mm. What that TRULY means is that it is Bike Planet recommends these for a max tire size of 25mm. I run 28mm regularly and when touring would like to get 30mm... so I may replace these at some point. So far, I have not had a problem.

Great fender with a few small flaws.
I got these fenders for my Surly Crosscheck as I commute in extremely wet conditions 9 months of the year in the Pacific North West. They fit great over my 28c Schwalbe Marathon tires, but were a bit skinny for my 32c Kenda Happy Medium tires. The brake hanger for the front fender could stand to be a touch longer as the gapping is too much for my taste. The rear fender has a nice brake hangeradapter clip for low clearances. The front clip isn't super adjustable, so there's a large gap there too. The mudflaps are large enough to deal with spray, but not so large that when wheeling the bike around on the back wheel that it drags a lot. The struts are extremely strong, so much so that I couldn't snip them with my heavy duty wire cutters... I'll have to hacksaw them to fit later. All in all this is a great fender, even with a few small flaws.

good,bad,ugly
THE GOOD: They do what they are supposed to do. no more soggy bottom boys.THE BAD: sort of a pain in the arse to put on. there is much flex in these so they have to be adjusted frequently so as to not rub on the tires. Also, they are long. If you have large toe clips you'll probably get some toe over lap. <----(cross bike)THE UGLY: Actually, they look pretty good on. a n i c e old-school look.I wanted to rate these at a 4, but looking back on how frustrated i was while putting them on made me think twice. I also had to remove the front fender because of 'fore mentioned issues. So, now i adjust the rear fender any time it's leaning on something. In short,No more wet ass. I can't wait to take them off in summer!

Great coverage, solid build quality
Great coverage, solid build quality, and a variety of mounting options. Few quirks though. I had to thin the chainstay bridge clip with a dremel to properly fit my bike because my chainstay bridge is narrow. These fenders claim to fit 28s here on Amazon but the instructions say 25s max. 28s will work through my experience but will rub against the included plastic rear brake mounted fender stay. You can do without the rear middle fender stay but it rattles against the rear caliper every bump without impeding safe operation. All in all, I'm happy with these full coverage fenders at keeping me and my bike clean vs my previous seat post mounted fender that protected me from skunk stripe but slung dirt and snow on everything lower than my knees.

... that they stay in place and do a fairly good job of keeping the frame and rider clean
I have used these bike fenders before while commuting and have found that they stay in place and do a fairly good job of keeping the frame and rider clean. The newer version comes with a plastic mounting point for the front fender that looks a bit dorky however I suppose it will be easier on the paint job than the metal eyelets of my previous . I have no complaints about the fenders themselves however when I recieved mine part of the rear fender was inverted like it had been squished while in transit althought thebox looked immaculate so maybe a problem with packing matrrial. When I poped the fender back into shape it had the correct curve for the tire bit has a buldge where it was creased. While it hasnt seemed to affect the function it is a blemish.

Wish it was cheaper
The fenders feel rather cheap and did not go on very straight without lots of adjustments, but it did come with everything you need to install onto your bike. I put mine on my Dawes Lightning 1000, which had enough clearance for the fenders. The rear fender attachment that hangs on the brake screw makes it difficult to tighten the caliper brake in place and the brake goes out of adjustment easily with a slight push so i have to be mindful not to hit the rear brake. Otherwise its a fine fender and does its job. I hear lots of clacks against the fender on the road rather than little pebbles hitting my face or legs.

The price is too high for the product, and it arrived with missing parts.
One of the nuts were missing from the package. I tried to find the customer support phone number on the package to ask if they will provide extra. There was none. Internet search did not help. I ended up buying a nut.The rear fender is supposed to be fastened to the bike at its front end using a plastic cable tie. I have a Schwinn Volare 1200 and it has a built-in nut for this purpose, so I suppose other bikes should be the same more or less; for that reason, I think offering just a cable tie, instead of providing a screw as a second option, is just being cheap on the manufacturer's side. I ended up buying an extra screw too.I paid over $39 for this pair of fenders (not including the missing parts). Missing parts, cheap design, and no customer support turned me off. Otherwise, it works as it is supposed to.
