Honestly Absolutely worth it!
The media could not be loaded. I'll start by admitting that I use it for the non intended application. I installed my on a inflatable SUP and on a inflatable kayak, with some easy adaptation of the original fin off my SUP. But works amazing. I'm too lazy to paddle and I don't have to, with this motor, like I tried to paddle with the motor at full speed and didn't feel any resistance of the water so it was useless to paddle . It is not the most advance system out there but you are not paying for the most advance system out there. The beauty about this system it's the simplicity. When I said the beauty about this system its the simplicity, to give you an example I broke the connector from the battery to the motor when I fell from the board. A quick search in Amazon found the connector for $15. No need to send it to get it repair. Granted, not everyone has the technical ability to change a connector, but trust me , with a couple of minutes in YouTube you can do anything. I get consistent 2.5 hr at full speed. Found speed 1 is for for calm water drifting, like .25 mph. Speed 2 more to stay in place against current. 3 is when it star moving but I'm always in speed 4 😆, wich my best speed I belive it was around 4.5 mph. Good enough for me. You can go ahead and spend 2x or 3x for brands with similar systems that will give you a kill switch. But to me this one is worth it for the price.. And like one of the others review, if you have any issue this guy answer his own phone. I lost my remote and they send me one in no time. Also got caught up in choppy waters, rain and wind out of no where like a mini storm, and I had no issues at all. This thing brought me back to safety against current, wind and waves.. (was kind of fun actually)Now for the bad,, (not a deal breaker for me), be aware that the kit does not come with the fin box adapter. Yes the remote is not waterproof but you can solve that with a cellphone waterproof pouch for $5. Yes, there is no kill switch but for 5mph why you need one anyway, I always keep my board strap to my foot. And if I wanted a kill switch I can add it for $15. Also yes motor gets clogged easy with weeds. Not hard to remove the weeds and keep going, and I'm sure I'll find a solution for that, either way what motor with open blades doesn't get clogged with weeds. So far I have used it for about 6 times. I'll update in the future if anything change..

Just Buy One!!
The media could not be loaded. This is an amazing piece of technology for the money!! This has a 250w high output motor with a beefy 36v Battery which gives you a full day on the water! Level 1 is paddle assist, will easily mitigate a nice head wind. Level 2 will glide you along at an effortless 3 to 4 mph, give some paddle assistance & easily achieve 5mph. Level 3 is actually so fast that if you are not on the right paddleboard it will push it past its limits. I have a 14ft Naish Glide & at Level 3, 6 to 7mph starts getting squirrely lol chop will cause the nose to dip into oncoming swells & take water over the deck, it's a VERY powerful motor & the build quality is substantial feels very solid & sturdy with its 1 piece molded construction. Also, as compared to the Bixpy Jet & other competitors at 2x the price point, this is on par or better at every point of comparison. The best selling point for me is the integrated fin design, not only are you able to keep your fin for tracking stability, but this design offers amazing protection to the motor & power cable. This is a big concern for me as I paddle in Tahoe & Tail Fin strikes on rocks are far too frequent. I don't have to worry about a little misshap on a rock ruining my day on the water & potentially breaking my motor. This is a no brainer! Buy with confidence, Michael Dolsey is a long time surf & sup guru who isn't getting rich off of this product, but what he is doing is spreading joy & his passion for a VERY reasonable price!! $$

59 yr old female and I did it all by myself :)
It's smooth as glass ! The remote works perfect and the 3rd speed went against the strongest current. I wanted more photos to see how to install it so I made my own to help others. Its GREAT !!! I was dragging this thing with the motor on my back down apt building stairwells and it was scrapping really bad and I was upset and exhausted so got a SUP bag with wheels and a inflate / deflate motor and and it all fits in the bag . I am sooo happy and relieved now its not a huge chore to use it. The motor is wonderful !!

Super Fun!!
This thing is super fun. It’s a little janky- you have to come up with your own way to attach the battery to the board, and the metal ring that seals the connection between the fin and battery came all bent on mine, so it leaks a little, but probably fixable if I tinker with it- but that paddle assist in choppy conditions makes a frustrating to impossible paddle an absolute joyride. I’ve only used it twice and I’m a little worried about leakage/slippage, but so far I’m loving it!!

Extra boost
This gives me the extra boost going into a headwind especially on the San Francisco Bay. Even more awesome is the downwind push. It does make it a bit harder to steer my paddle board going at full throttle. It’s a tradeoff 🤙🏽

Unreliable, not safe.
In all fairness, this product hasn't been tested enough in enough real world situations. Don't use if water can impede the remote or battery box, like in choppy water or rain. The components will leak and aren't watertight. Salt water use is not recommended. The remote control malfunctions. Also, there isn't a "kill" switch so safety is definitely an issue. The fins' prop will get clogged with seagrass or debris easily. When everything works and perfect weather and marine conditions exist, actually could be a valuable piece of equipment; however, the unreliability and unsafe setup makes it more of a pain in the ass than it's worth.
