I love leash but flash light want come on. Very unsatisfied. I only bought for flashlight. To cheap made n scared to open flashlight it fall apart. But again leash is good. I use for 10 pound dashound at night. So I unhappy. :( :(

I purchased two of these so I could walk my dogs at night. They don't work. When I received one the light was already broken and the second one three days later broke also. When the light did work it would never shine on the dog or the ground unless I basically almost broke my wrist to keep it pointed downwards. I also tried holding it upside down and still the same problem. The lock feature works but sometimes a little to well. The slightest little touch and I was almost choking my dogs. I think I should explain that I don't have huge dogs. My dogs are only 15lbs & 20lbs. Very small dogs and this leash almost choked them. Not worth the money unless you want to blind all the cars and passersby as your walking your dogs. Not to mention the accidental touch of the button locking the leash so quickly you almost choke your dog to death. Also just so all future buyers are aware. I used these leashes for a little over 2 weeks and the cord is starting to fray. Just not worth the aggravation of sending them back or I would have already done that.Update: After writing this review I was contacted by the customer service of UPSKY. The customer service was understanding and willing to give me a full refund. My issues is still with the product itself but the customer service has made this experience change from 2 stars to 3star.

I exclusively use the retractable dog leashes with my dog. And we've gone through a bunch because the springs break easily and render the retraction unusable.I was excited about this leash because of the flashlight attached to the handle. It's OK, not super bright but does shine enough light on the dog or ground to see what he's up to and to make myself visible to cars/people. I wouldn't rely on this light to find my way in the dark.I thought the single push button lock/unlock would be fine (I usually get a slide lock) but it is a little annoying if the leash is out and you just want to pause the reaction to kindof reel the dog back in. A push locks the leash so you need to keep pushing the button to lock and unlock to reel your dog in. Not the deal breaker, just annoying.The real problem with this leash is that the ribbon folds over on itself and gets stuck in the retracter. To me, the point of having a ribbon is so it doesn't do that.I will keep this one as my backup for when my next retractable leash is rendered unretractable or the brake breaks.Pro:Long leash(Ok) FlashlightCon:Ribbon gets stuck oftenSingle push lock/unlock

Bought this use in January and today it almost strangled my Frenchie. Retraction has been unreliable for a few days- today it bit the dust. Of course the return window has closed 🙄

Seems ok flashlight not too bright and original package was opened and placed in new plastic sleeve. Great paying full new price for a used opened item.Update: we were able to tighten the flashlight bulb and it works better. The seller contacted us after the review and offered to replace the leash or to refund us. We are happy with the response and with the leash.

I really like this leash, so does my little Toy Poodle. He loves that he can run ahead of me a little. It does get temperamental at times. It will just lock up spontaneously, and won't unlock. The flashlight feature is not bright at all, you can see about 6 inches right in front of you, on the ground. It's very dim! Otherwise, very nice leash.

This review is for the style with the silver reflective circle on it and the metal loop for attaching your dog bag too, not the one with the attached flashlight.My dog likes to chew through his leash, so I go through a number of them. He does it with all of them, so is his problem not the leash's. Ribbon or cord, doesn't matter. A chain lead helps, but doesn't completely eliminate the problem. Anyway, the last few times, I keep coming back to this model.The handle on this leash is big enough for me to fit all four fingers in it comfortably; many leashes are so small that I can only fit three fingers in it. ​The cord lock and cord hold buttons seem more comfortable to use than other cheap leashes. They don't seem to stick as much as other leashes either. The ribbon on this leash seems to resist tangling reasonably well compared to other ribbon leashes.The rewind spring mechanism seems reasonably strong, at least at first. It gets weaker as it goes, and I did have one of these leashes where the rewind mechanism stopped working after about 9 months. However, the manufacturer offers a "lifetime replacement and refund guarantee" and when I contacted the seller about that, they promptly replaced it.I also like the metal loop on this leash for attaching your dog waste bags. Other leashes may come with a bag holder, but you have to carabiner it through the handle.When my dog does chew through the leash, sometimes I can use a pocket knife/tweezers/pliers to fish the ribbon out of the leash and retie it back to the clip. It's not super easy to get at, but it works, and the ribbon does hold a knot.

I wanted to love this leash but I can’t. We have a Shih tzu and she doesn’t pull much. The idea of this leash is what I love but it comes with a lot of faults.1. I am not a fan of the string leashes as they have caused rope burn on my daughter in the past. so when I saw this had a regular leash style I fell in love. The leash itself is like a ribbon. We have never had it break or tangle when retracting but the uncertainty is definitely there.2. The light. We wanted a light for when we are camping and have to take the dog out after dark. This was the main reason for this leash. However, the flashlight is so weak that I had a hard time seeing what poop I needed to pick up. Plus side is it won’t hurt your dogs eyes.3. The locking for the leash is a push button when other are a push and slide. It’s not a big deal but I miss the ability to push to stop the line from progressing without it locking.I would not buy this item again but will continue to use it till we find another that has a flashlight option.

The media could not be loaded.  Good leash, especially for the price. My little puppy likes to chew his leashes as he is teething right now, so I was apprehensive about getting him a retractable leash. However this leash seems to be holding up well. I will say it can get a little twisted and tangled as it retracts but it’s easy to untangle so it’s not a big deal. The lock button on it can be a little temperamental at times.

At half the price of our previous retractable leash, we can’t complain too much. The lock can skip a bit or take an extra second to engage. The button design doesn’t feel like it will last. We replaced our previous unit because of wear and chewing on the leash portion. This one feels cheaper and seems like the plastic gears will fail long before the leash wears our.

This is the second leash we have bought. The first one lasted about 9 months and then the leash became tangled and would not release of retract. This one lasted two weeks. First the switch on the light broke and when we tried to fix it the light fell into pieces. Then after two weeks the leash is again snagging and you can not depend on it releasing or retracting. We have a 30 lbs small dog. $30.00 is a lot of money for two weeks service! Shirley Ratcliff

The product broke the 2nd times using it. I had to send it back for a refund .it cost $12 to return it for a $19 refund . Not happy
