Thirsty

I was a bit unsure about buying this album, as I am more into contemporary gospel (think Kirk Franklin and Tye Tribbett). However, I was very very happy with this purchase. The tracks on this album are very personal and full of truth, invariably leading me to reflection on my relationship with God. From the titular track, which softly but majestically declares an unwavering reliance on God, to the passionate testimony of "Never Would Have Made It", this album subtly but powerfully reaches into your spiritual core and doesn't let go. And wow, Sapp has one of the best voices I have ever heard, he has really been blessed. I would very much recommend this album.

Marvin has such a powerful, wonderful voice! I drove about 1200 miles and through the many, many curvy roads of NC and onward, I replayed the CD more times than I could guess, but Marvin's melodious voice entertained, uplifted, and encouraged me through every mile of my trip. The CD is awesome!!!

I read the reviews and thought about this CD a long time before purchasing it seeing as though Marvin's last CD was average. Wow, I waited too long to make this purchase. There is something for everyone on this CD. Song twelve will simply blow you away - "Never Would have Made It". The entire CD is spirit filled and it is a CD where every song lifts you to new heights in worship. This has to be his best CD to date or darned close to it. The music and soft blend of testimony is remarkable.

To me this was the best CD from Marvin Sapp. It is ful of great worship and praise music. Never Would Have Made It was my favorite song but as i listened to the CD Thirsty has moved to the number one spot. I like this CD very much. You can tell from this CD that he has gone through some things and God has kept him. This album hits home to alot of folks. The young, old, saints, and sinners can relate to some of the music. Never Would Of Made It is being played on the Hip Hip and R&B stations. That says alot about the inmpact of this CD and gospel music itself.

On June 28th 2007 we lost our son in a car accident, I had purchased the CD way before that and as I began to seek the Lord for peace I started listening to my music. I remembered this CD that I hadn't listened to yet as a matter of fact I had not opened it up yet. As I listened to it and the words I couldn't take it out, but one particular song was (place of worship). Had I not found my place of worship through the grieving process I never would of made it. Oh yea that was another song (never would of made it. I truly thank God for the words and melody that was laid on Marvin Sapp heart to to produce this CD.

I was a little disappointed because the the CD cover was cracked I didn't order a used CD I wanted a new one

Perhaps one of the best cds of 2007 is Marvin Sapp's Thirsty! If you are spiritually dry, searching for music with not just good production but substance with the presence of the Lord, then this is what you need. Pastor Sapp's seventh solo project is simply a blessing. Laced with good production, great vocals (thanks to Myron Butler and Levi for background support), good lyrical content and anointed sound, this will usher you into the presence of the Lord. Standout tracks are: NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT, THIRSTY, IN THE GARDEN, PRAISE HIM IN ADVANCE AND SHOUT UNTO GOD. You will not be disappointed if you invest in this project. Born out of a painful time in Pastor Sapp's life, this cd oozes with passionate anointed singing, good song interpretation and a variety of gospel styles. Well done Pastor Sapp ~ readers, act now!

I always like and enjoy Marvin Sapp works. What I like about his music that it speaks to you just where you are at that moment and time; it's encouraging, and lift your spirit. I'm please with my purchase. Check out his other works and find what pleases you.

I love the worship cd and martin sapp all I would say is that when this arrived by the seller all the cd was smashed on the front of the case but the cd did work ok and is a great cd ..praising god and enjoying time in his presence ..I would maybe advise to buy froma different seller but it just coukd of got smashed case in delivery

Nice cd to replace another Arrived, in time and excellent condition. can't go wrong, good to sing along. Just what the doctor ordered. Would recommend it!
