A quality product, despite being cheaper than some other models
I bought this 'Flotte Lotte'/ mill for the main purpose of processing tomatoes, which I do in large quantities at a time. This mill will crush the tomatoes, extracting the juice and pulp whilst retaining the skin and seeds. They are also used for processing apples. The mill arrived as two pieces to be assembled, along with a choice of 3 disks, each one being a grater with specific sized apertures. I mostly used the mid sized one for my purposes.Assembling the mill was easy. I placed the disk of choice in the base aperture of the mill. The disks have three raised 'ribs' which locate into respective grooves in the base of the mill, locking securely. The centre of each disk has a hole, into which the stem of the hand crank must be inserted. The cross bar of the hand crank is secured on both ends into the mill, by pressing its 'winged/ upward facing end tips into the pockets on opposite sides of the mill. The mill is then ready to be used.I found operating the mill really easy, effortless- it operates so smoothly. I also tested the mill on mango pulp (cutting off flesh nearer the seed) The mill sorted the fruit pulp from the fibres with ease. I have since tried peaches and more with great success. This is a really versatile tool that is amazing at separating juice/ pulp from fibres, seeds and skin. I saw these used more in Southern Europe - I don't know anyone personally who has one. This mill is just as easy to take apart for washing. I always ensure that the components are fully dry after washing, before re- assembling for re-use.As I can a lot of produce, I find the mid-sized disk to be adequate for all my produce. There is a finer disk for thinner juices if required and a larger aperture disk for thicker produce, e.g. mashed potato.Basically. don't underestimate how effective this tool is, I wouldn't be without it - it is simple to use, very lightweight and extremely versatile.

Very difficult to use, bad quality material
I needed it for a tomato cream soup. I had one similar when I lived in Italy, so I know how to use it, it's a very simple grater. Not only that it came with one of the parts broken, but also it was hard to assemble it (even though it should be very simple), but also when I tried to turn the handle - as I should do for the tomatoes - it was difficult to turn itVery bad product

It does the job
You get what you paid for, cheap food mill that does its job.Don't have huge expectation from it, it's ok to process very soft and fiber-less food.Great to mill boiled/steamed potatoes and tomatoes. If you try with more fibrous food like butternut squash the blade will not work properly.

Not so good
It appears sturdy and well made but the blade is a long way from the sieve. You turn and turn and not much happens. And there’s a lot left over. I’ve tried bending the blade so we’ll see. Not impressed

A kitchen game-changer!
Works perfectly and cleans up easily. We’ve been making fruit butter for years in our kitchen, using a sieve and a spoon to purée the fruit. It took ages! This food mill has been such a game changer! I should have bought one years ago.

dont waste your money, more cheap not fit for purpose Chinese rubbish
disliked everything, Had cooked some summer soft fruits and wanted to push them through but this wouldnt stay intact even though this waqs first time of using. Amazon "customer services" were obstructive and rude when I tried to return the item so am going to give it to trading standards to test. They have to powers to stop items like this from being sold to unsuspecting customers.
