Much better than the previous Swaller batery case for my iPhone 7 Plus
History:My previous Swaller battery case for my iPhone 7 Plus (the top piece that clipped on https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LGSQQCJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) had multiple problems. I bought 3 of them over the life of my iPhone 7 Plus all which had varying degrees of life before they completely died. First the top clip of the case would break if the phone was removed from the case more than a handful of times. This was tolerable because the light magnet in the clip would hold it to the phone for most practical use though it sometime came off as I took it in and out of my pocket. Then, the Lightening connector (not Apple certified I am sure and not just because it was so unreliable or made in China but because the royalties to be Apple certified are more expensive than the whole case) would get flaky and would only work if the highest quality cable was used (meaning the Apple cable the phone came with or an Anker cable) and was propped up with a small object that provided a bit of tension on the connector so that a proper electrical connections were made. This was also obnoxious but tolerable. A few months after this (1-6 months or so) the case would no longer accept a charge at all and after the case ran empty it would no longer charge the phone. I am pretty sure this was a problem with the charging circuit in the phone since the lights would come on like it was trying to charge the phone when plugged in (after being propped up) but then the lights would continually cycle counting up and then blinking off for as long as it was left plugged in and never deliver any charge to the phone. At this point the case had to be replaced.Value of the older version:If you owned one of these cases I bet you experienced at least one of these problems if not all of them if you were patient enough to get to the 3rd issue since it happened on all 3 of the cases I owned and I recognize several of these issues in the other comments I have read about the case. But, since the case was only ~$30 I thought the life was worth it since the case is pretty good at protecting the phone and to purchase a more electronically reliable battery case like a Mophie is about $100 and uses a micro USB connector and I can't stand having to keep track of 2 different cords to manage the phone (Mophie uses a micro USB to charge the case & phone together and a Lightening connector for data transfers when connecting the phone to my laptop). In the end at ~$30 I still came out a few buck cheaper than buying the Mophie case though it was more of a hassle replacing the case every 6-12 months. However, the good Swaller customer service and the quick Amazon shipping made this feasible.Review of new case:The new generation of this case does not have the top piece that clips off, rather the thick flexible rubber/polymer of the case bends off it allowing the phone to slip in and out. This a much better system. It is far more reliable and provides much better protection for the phone if dropped. I also find that the Lightening connector on this phone feels more solid and has not yet demonstrated the initial glitchiness of the previous model that proceeded the need to prop up the connector when charging. However, I have only used the case for a little less than 30 days so it is a bit early for that problem to manifest yet. I will update this review if it does but at this point is it looks entirely possible they have improved the connector and it will last longer (though i am being extremely careful with it). So, given the performance of this new product I am comfortable giving it 5 stars for now. I will amend that if that changes.Full Disclosure:I never write these reviews but Swaller convinced me to do it this time by giving me a $10 gift card if I gave them a 5 Star review and another $5 gift card if I included a picture. This is why I wrote the review but I don't think this is the review they were looking for. Now I understand where most of the 5 Star Amazon reviews come from. Everything I have written in this review is true and so far I am willing to give this new case 5 stars until it exhibits any of the problems I described above and then I will change this review immediately. The previous versions of this case I have used I would only give 2 Stars to and then only in comparison to the Mophie case because they refuse to use a Lightening connector (because of the Apple royalty expense associated with it). I would have been willing to pay Mophie another $10-20 more for that connector since I hate micro USB connectors so much. The USB C connector is much better, lets hope and pray the world switches to this connector.

They Stand by their product! If there's a problem they ship the replacement the same day!
Over the years I've had a couple of these same flexible-top cases for my iPhone 7plus. They've each lasted at least a couple of years, providing all day phone use without needing a wall charger. So, at the first of January this year I noticed some battery capacity loss, and bought a new one. It was 2 years old so was due. After 2 weeks the new case stopped passing power onto my iPhone. Probably had a bad chip or internal connection. So I was within the 30 day return window. When I selected to get a replacement they shipped it the same day, before even receiving my bad one. That's good customer support!

Slow for real
Slow charging to the iPhone but it gets the job done i guess and buttons don’t align with iPhone 8 Plus

This product is total junk
And actually the worst junk of all of the junk phone cases I’ve ordered in the last few months. I rated this 5 stars only as a ruse so that it might be seen more.I would certainly return it to Amazon if I hadn’t waited a little too long. I’ve returned 3 cases already in the last few months for similar problems, but this one actually deserved the rejection more than any of them.Practically everything about it is 1 star, except for it’s easy to hold.Matt finish rubbed off the case literally on the first day of simply putting it in my pocket.Quality of female slot for plugging in a charger cord is poor, and was already marginal after about two days. Why can the same slot on my phone be used multiple thousands of times for 2 years and still be just fine? This poor plug problem causes multiple problems with connectivity in the car, etc..It constantly looses connection with the phone itself, and then turns itself off.The case is too hard to pry off with your fingers, practically takes a tool.I could go on. Don’t buy this Chinese crap. Buy slightly better Chinese crap, if you can figure out which crap that is.As best I can tell, Amazon does not seem to offer a single case that won’t deserve to be returned after two weeks. Except for Apple cases, and I fault Apple for making a great battery case that fit the iPhone 6 regular size and then mysteriously stopped being in the battery case business. Hello!, Tim Cook!

So far this had been my favorite
So far this one has been my favorite... I'm on my third one though, take that for what it is. Dont expect this (or any iphone battery case to last more then 8 months (if your pretty lucky). My first one, batter just stopped working after about 7 months, my second... same thing, only the batter started to swell up right, then went out. Thing is... I think 7 month of quality protection and double the battery life is worth 30 bucks. So im happy to buy it. maybe my third one will last a year.. well see! So overall... pretty happy

Good Case, Just Handle Carefully
Case works as expected. It’s kind of a fingerprint magnet, but other than that, it looks relatively stylish. Battery gets me around 2.5 full charges, which usually lasts me most of the work week. Putting on and taking off the case is a breeze. I haven’t dropped it since I put it on, but I imagine it would hold up well to your average run of mill drop.I knocked a star off because the charging port has become extremely loose after less than 6 months, even though I usually take the case off to charge it, and never handle it while charging. I would strongly advise against using your phone while this case is plugged in (you really shouldn’t do that regardless, but especially so with this case). It will randomly stop and start charging unless precise conditions are met.Still extremely satisfied for the price, just unfortunate about the apparent weakness of the charging port.
