Dogs need dental care
No doubt the price for this 4 oz. bottle of gel is high however when you consider what veterinarian's charge for annual dental $18 is a drop in the bucket. Dogs and cats need consistent oral care. This includes an annual veterinary cleaning usually using a light sedative. Contrary to this gel's advertising brushing of your dog's teeth is definitely needed. Using a children's tooth brush I load up the bristles with this gel a couple of times as I brush the upper outside and inside surfaces of the teeth. I keep a squirt bottle of warm fresh water close by and use this clean warm water to "hose down" the brushed teeth. Dedicated oral care for our dogs improves their chances for a long healthy life and it cuts down on the high cost of rotten teeth extractions.

My dog hates it
It works pretty well, but my dog hates the flavor. Every time I pull he out he makes a sad face like he just got in trouble. Then he spends the next ten minutes rubbing his muzzle on the floor. Definitely not for every dog.

Both my dogs hate the smell and will walk away or snarl at it. Can’t tell if it actually works.

Excellent item
It is an excellent item, I have been using for years, I have multiple dogs, it works wonders, it will keep your dog’s teeth clean with next to no effort from your part & the dogs love it, I highly recommend this item
