One of my favorite reads of 2019
Q: Why would I want to get mobbed walking down the street? If Reed thinks that sounds appealing to an artist like me, not to mention an introvert, he doesn’t know me at all. I’m all about the music, man. Not fame or fortune or easy women.Lauren Rowe has only been on my radar since I read Hero in early 2018 and with every new book I get my hands on by this author I am blown away—totally, completely mind blown for one reason or another—and so sooooo in love with her words!!! Rockstar was no different. This book was outstanding. I have long awaited Dax Morgan’s book, and that wait was not in vain. Lauren delivered a beautiful romance that had all the characteristics I have come to expect from her: laughter, an irresistible hero, an epic story, swoon-worthy moments that take my breath away, sexy times that leave me in much need of a cold shower… aww, but that list just goes on and on…. Needless to say, RockStar is absolutely a five-star read, and waiting to pick up this book is just a discredit to those of us who have screamed from the rooftops of our love for Lauren’s words!!!Q: “I don’t get butterflies when you laugh.” He touches my thigh. “I get fireflies. I feel lit up from deep inside.”While I could go into many reasons why I loved RockStar so dang much it really boils down to a few things. The characters and the very beauty of Lauren Rowe's storytelling talents. The characters bred a connection that I have found with few authors. Yet I feel like it’s a standard with Lauren’s books that I have had the pleasure of reading. It’s hard not to feel a connection to these particular stories as all of the Morgan Brother’s books have won my heart and been five star reads for this avid book lover. While each book is a standalone, they all have one commonality, The Morgan Family—hints the series name. 😉 And while each story within the series are all characteristically unique, they ultimately bring me back to the heart and soul of romance—the personal connections that exist when we allow ourselves to love freely and openly. Lauren begins with a family that loves the way a family is supposed to love—a close-knit family that gives room for each of the members to be individuals. Then, Lauren writes characters that you fall helplessly in love with because they aren’t perfect and each and every story in the Morgan Brother’s series offers a romance that is without question 1000% unique from any romance I have read before… each book to date has offered readers a different trope with various degrees of angst that only heighten the story she tells. I have found them to each be largely unpredictable and I love when I am reading a book and not guessing what’s about to happen… When I can simply get lost in the story.Q: …we were magic together! Being with Dax felt like clicking a last jigsaw puzzle piece into place. While the Morgan’s are the draw to this particular series, it’s ultimately the writer’s storytelling that makes the connection and deliveries the unforgettable romance inherent in her books. And it’s undebatable that there is something incredible that takes place when an author writes book after book and each book meets with the same overwhelming love within our hearts. That’s how I have felt each time I’ve picked up one of these books over the last year. And if you are reading my review looking for something negative regarding Lauren’s work, then you’re following the wrong blogger. In addition to loving the family dynamics, I feel like Lauren tells the absolute best story for the individuals that she can. Their stories are unique, and they all play their parts in captivating our hearts in different for a variety of reasons. Dax’s story happened to bring this rockstar romance junky both the bitter and the sweet aspects of rockstar lifestyle. Yet, she still made the romance the focus and I loved leaving reality behind for this slice of heaven that straddled both reality and fiction.Q: My heart is exploding, my skin is on fire, my eyes feel magnetically pulled to her. And, most of all, my belly is alive with flapping wings and glowing lights that only this woman, and no other, ignites inside me.RockStar is without a doubt one of my most anticipated reads this year and will stand up as one of my favorite reads as well. It sucked me straight into the story and held me with a consistent pace. Dax Morgan, like his brothers, stole my heart when I read Hero. I wanted to know more about the baby of the Morgan family, and I can’t tell you how fulfilling this story was. The story was funny, super sexy, angsty—I swore that Dax was never going to get the girl… only he did and wow, it was spectacular—but it was also a deeply satisfying romance. The book gave us so much depth into Dax’s character and how touring with his band—and without the one person he wants more than anything else—helps him grow and ultimately hurts him. This story brings readers right back into the Morgan Family fold with all the fun, emotional and unique moments that comes only from being part of this family. RockStar also introduces readers to Violet—Vi—the heroine that wins over Dax. That inspires him and brings him low without even knowing how completely she’s captivated Dax.Q: She set me free to fully experience whatever’s coming my way, without guilt or trepidation.RockStar is in many ways a second chance romance and provides all the angst of unrequited love, or as far as our hero and heroine are concerned, that’s what the ‘one that got away’ represented at the time. Luckily for those of use reading the dual POV story, we know differently, but the angst it presents for the characters is fantastic and made me consume chapter after chapter and before I knew it the night had passed into morning. After I consumed mass quantities of coffee, I wanted nothing more than to dive right back into this story… ultimately family, and blogging, kept me from doing so. But it’s one of those books that I will reread again and again because I truly loved it. Reading a book more than once is always a sign of an excellent story in my book. And over the last year, I have reread each book within my library by Lauren Rowe. I can't recommend an author more... Buy RockStar and find out why I love her the way I do... Discover the Morgan family for yourself!Q: “Music. It’s everything to me. When I’m writing a song and it’s flowing, that’s like a hand job for my soul. When it’s finished and I get to play it for the first time from beginning to end, that’s the blow job. When I play it for someone else for the first time, that’s .... And when I perform it for a whole club full of people...” I shudder. “Oh, baby, that’s the orgasm.”

What a family!
I LOVE Lauren Rowe! So so much. The club series, Josh and Kat’s book and the whole Morgan clan have been one of my favorite literary adventures. Daxy quickly became one of my absolute favorite in this crazy Farady-Morgan world. This book however didn’t quite live up to how Lauren wrote Dax in the other Morgan books. She definitely went back to who the unique, soulful, and wide beyond his years person Dax was written to be in the previous stories. But it took to the very last chapters to get there.I would have liked to see Dax struggle more to actually be himself and find true authenticity in the unrealistic world of celebrity and music. His journey after he returned from their first tour was great and meaningful. I wish more time was spent on that.Violet was written as the perfect heroine. The story Lauren wrote for her couldn’t have been more perfect. I just wish the contradiction that is Dax Morgan was explored more and the complex contradiction of his inner soul and character was dug into and hashed our more in this book.It is still a good read and Lauren has written it beautifully (as she consistently gives to her readers)READ THIS BOOK!I’m just not able to rate it as high as her other books.

A soul searing love story.
What a rollercoaster ride of emotions I’ve just been through. Lauren was able to make me laugh, scream, cry, sit in the edge of my seat, curse out loud, slayed, and melt my heart away. The rush reading this book was intense. My heart felt it was going to explode. When I was done reading I thought to myself, this is how it must feel to be on top of Mt. Everest. Really, that’s what I thought. The rush was that good.Dax had been one I’ve anxiously waited for. Why? Deep down I always felt that even though he was the youngest of the Morgan family, to me he felt like an old soul, one with so much spiritual depth. That he was. His passion for music was invigorating. He’s the Plato of music to me.When he met Violet, well let’s just say that love for music, and that passion for creating songs reached a whole other level. How couldn’t it? Violet is a beautiful creature with an amazing heart. Her path wasn’t an easy one, yet she found the strength to become a strong, caring women, even though she still had some cracks in her soul, she moved on trying to spread love and do good.Meeting Dax was her destiny, he became the one who was able to make her hole again. Yet, Violet also helped Dax be the man he should be when faced with strong decisions in his life. They both were on a journey to find themselves. To me they reached it individually, yet together. What can I say about Dax’s family the Morgan’s? The love and loyalty they have for each other is absolutely admirable. Makes you want to be a Morgan. I know I do. They are the ride or die, you mess with anyone of us, you mess with me kind of family. Their bond is rock solid, and they are funny as can be. Boy, do the make me laugh! Their interaction throughout it this book made it even better. This is a standalone, but if you felt the pull of the Morgan family magic, like I know you did. I strongly advise you go grab every other Morgan book their is. You’ll read about all of Dax’s siblings and their journey on how they found their other half. Trust me when I tell you, you won’t regret it!Lauren you’ve created a MASTERPIECE!! It’s perfection. I felt every word, every emotion,. You transported me to each and every scene. Your words are a work of art. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. Thank you for creating such an amazing world.

THIS BOOK ROCKED MY WORLD!!!
5+ THIS BOOK ROCKED MY WORLD STARS!!!What can I POSSIBLY say about this book; this EPIC, MIND-BLOWING, CRAZY, SWOONY, SEXY, DELICIOUS, roller-coaster-ride-of-fun, ANGST and a grab-your-heart-strings HEA at the end of it all?! Lauren Rowe has given us ALLLLLLL THE THINGS with this one, folks...and I don't know HOW she can ever top it!!!Dax Morgan is the last of Morgan clan to find his "one I love the most" and let me just say that Ms. Rowe has saved the best for last! Although, in my humble opinion, Colby MAY be just a smidge hotter....but I digress! Dax isn't LOOKING to settle down but when he meets one Violet Rhodes at a party, the SIZZLING chemistry is evident and he becomes "intrigued" with her, only for her to run cold on him (for reasons that you'll have to read the book to find out!) Suffice it to say that Violet sparks MORE than Dax's creative juices and the story takes off from there!I absolutely adore Violet's character....she's just lovely, and considering her past history, that's a feat of epic proportions! She's so strong-willed and feisty, so loving and beautiful...and she's ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for Dax! I fell in love with her right along with Dax and the rest of the Morgan's!This AMAZING, complete standalone in the Morgan Family saga, will set fire to your imagination and you'll NEED to read the other books because they are THAT GOOD!!! I cannot recommend this book, this series OR this author strongly enough!!!

Incredible story
If I could it would have a fanfare of stars !This book has just knocked my socks off !Dax friggin Morgan baby !!! I’ve been intrigued by Dax since my love of Lauren and her words started ! He’s just held something for me, it helps I adore the Rockstar sub genre, but Dax is like no other ! His extrovert / introvert persona is just dynamite and with Lauren as his guiding pen across the page we got one hell of a story as perfect as Lauren could deliver !I’m not giving anything away, no spoilers from me ! But be prepared to fall in love, swoon and become enamoured by the sensitivity and beautiful soul that is Dax Morgan !Not only that but you get to meet Violet, she’s just perfect in every way, and oh boy is she just a perfect flower that blooms in the light of family and love as only the Morgan’s can help deliver !There were moments of Joy, moments of laughter and heartfelt moments between family and friends that make you feel like you found a place to call home !Lauren’s words Truly FLOWED of the page with all her heart and soul. It’s a book I devoured and purposely closed 10% from the end because I didn’t want it to end ! But when it did I was left with a smile on my face and a warmth in my heart ! For all that is the Morgan’s ! Dax is beautiful !5 beautiful free flowing StarsDxPS. It’s a Stand-alone meaning you can read this book without reading any others or if you’ve never read Lauren before you could start right here x

Turbulent, Riotous & Soul-searingly emotional!
Rockstar by Lauren RoweWhen you open the pages of a book or in my case swipe left on the kindle screen, you are preparing yourself to accept whatever words are typed there. You are preparing yourself to cry, yell, swoon, fall in love, even curse at that page and at times, the author. In the case of Rockstar, you will experience pretty much every emotion on the spectrum (except fear...you will never feel that with a Lauren Rowe book) and you will ultimately enjoy the experience of feeling them.Rockstar is a story about, yes a musician, his rock band and the life that goes with it, but surprisingly it is about much more. It is primarily about Family....yes Family. In all its glorious forms, highs and sadly in all its lows. The family made when mates are brought together because of their love for music.Family made when two bands and their entourages are brought together in the interest of a world tour.Family made when two courageous, sensitive people find themselves captured at first glance across a crowded room. And Family made, when a broken girl is accepted wholeheartedly by her lover's closest & dearest. But underpinning all these familial ties, is the notion that whatever is placed before you in life, you must be utterly true to your inner self. Life lessons can be hard learned, but it's how you deal with what is thrown at you that will ultimately set you up for a rewarding future.Lauren Rowe does Family like no one else. Her flare for the quirky makes for a rollercoaster reading experience and if she doesn't win you over by this quality then she damn well will with her ability to squeeze every ounce of emotion out of you with her writing brilliance.Dax, with his sensitive & creative soul and Violet, with her damaged heart & creative flare, make the perfect couple. The way Lauren has brought them together is simply stunning.Turbulent, Riotous, Soul-searingly emotional....this story will leave you wanting more.A must read!

Loved it!
I’ve never read anything by this author before but I will likely read more. The Morgan brothers are written so different from each other but are parts of a whole. Dax is the young rockstar which he was nicknamed from 2 years old! His band has an unusual name - 22 Goats - comprised of 3 talented friends. I love that this was such a positive story which focused on more than the rockstar story.Well written story!! I recommend.

Morgen Nr 5 is a 5 Star
Again a 5 Star lover story for me. Lauren let us reader surf of all the emotional waves of her characters and each of the Morgan brothers are different and I love them all. This time the author gave us a visual hint with the music video. Normally when I read a book I don’t like the movie but here Lauren and Dylan/ Dax nailed it. Dylan is 100% Dax for me even though I was sceptical with the cover reveal. When you see Dylan smile you know it is a Morgan and his story is so full of surprises. You may think all love stories are the same but not so with Laurens artistical talent to portray her heros and let them become real in our imagination.Well done Lauren and Dylan
