Lots of fun for the (low) price
This is initial ("first impressions") review, will return with more data once I wear it for a while. The watch arrived on time in good condition - the little gift box it was in was a very nice touch. The watch was covered in plastic shrink wrap which was relatively hard to remove: I suggest using small scissors or (carefully) small blade to cut the wrap (it is very sticky/elastic so it does not want to break apart). The look of the bracelet and watch body does not say 'quality', which is the main reason for giving this item 4 instead of 5 stars (but what would you expect for $10 anyway?)Brief instruction manual is attached, but it is written in 'Chinese-English', so I understand that some non-technical users feel confused. Here is the Cliff Notes version:1. Press top button once to see the time. If the top left digit shows tick symbol (or number one with tick symbol) it means PM.2. Press top button again to see month and date.3. Press top button third time to see seconds.4. While time is displayed, press bottom button to set the watch. The first time you press it, current hour setting will blink. Each subsequent press of bottom button will make minutes, month, date, year and 24/12 hour settings flash.5. While the setting you want to change blinks, press top button to change it. When done, press bottom button to move to the next setting and change it if needed.6. When all changes are done, press bottom button a couple of times - till nothing blinks. The watch should display month/date for a moment and turn display off.The digits on the display should be clearly visible in typical room (home or office), but will be impossible to see in bright sunlight - you will have to cover the watch partially with the other hand to see the time.I'm concerned that the black enamel (paint?) on the bracelet will scratch easily, but we shall see. The clasp is a little finicky - I recommend putting your index finger underneath and open/close it with your thumb. The band size was OK for me, but links can be removed if needed - search Amazon for "watch band link remover" or go to the nearest watch repair/jewelry store to do it (this service will probably cost you more than the watch itself, though). The watch uses one lithium CR2016 battery - if you have to buy them at the store, buy at least two-pack. Amazon also has bulk packaged 2016s - good idea to buy them this way because this watch will probably eat them like a good snack :) I have used Energizer and Sony CR2016 multi-packs from Amazon and they were good - 'no name' batteries usually last much shorter than brand names. If you ever replaced watch battery yourself, this one should not be a problem; otherwise ask the specialist. To sum up - this watch should be a nice conversation piece - at least for a while. How it performs in long run - we shall see.

Form over function, degrades heavily with use
I purchased this product for $5.00 two years ago, and it performed fairly for the price. It does not hold up too well to time, as the paint finish began to rub off after just a few months, it didn't react well to the smallest bit of sweat, and it was a scratch magnet. The battery lasted a fair amount of time, though the led lights were rarely bright enough to be comfortably read outdoors, and even indoors I sometimes had to cup my hand around the watch to read the time. It is easily taken apart and fixed or washed, and the watch band size is easily adjustable even with just a paperclip. For the price, it's a good looking watch if you don't care too much for telling the time and plan to use it rarely, but don't expect a ton.

Great gift for 12 y/o nephew.. but no box
I really didn't have very high expectations for this watch, given the price. I was giving a gift of money to my 12 y/o nephew for his birthday and wanted an inexpensive gift to add on so he at least had something to open. I read the previous reviews which stated this watch came with a box. So, I was expecting a watch box. It was actually in a very cheap thin rectangular paper box- which was pretty much unfit for gift giving. So, I used a gift box from a previous jewelry purchase and all was fine. The watch functions as it is supposed to-- pretty easy to set the time and date following the directions. I agree with the other reviewers that the time is difficult to see in daylight, however this did not bother my nephew at all. He absolutely positively LOVED this watch! He kept calling it his transformer watch and showed everyone at the party how it worked. We easily removed a few links so it fit his petite wrist. Yes, it's a big watch and does sit pretty high off the top of the wrist- but this didn't bother my nephew at all. He loved the big look and the adult style of the watch. His picky father even loved the watch and wanted to know where we got it. Overall, it probably would have been a great gift on its own- which could have saved us the 50 bucks in cash we gave him! I can't see that the finish on this watch will last over time... but kids don't care if watches last a lifetime. So, for an inexpensive watch this one met all expectations.
