This is a very cool product. It looks like real snow
This is a very cool product. It looks like real snow. It is not cold, but is cool to the touch. It is light and fluffy, not wet at all. I've heard that the product that some other brands sell is blobby but this one is not. It is great. Once mixed, we store it in a gallon size zip lock bag to get out and play with again later. My almost 3 year old is sitting happily at the table next to me right now completely entertained with about 1/4th of a gallon of Insta-Snow in a clear shoe-box size bin playing with a small scoop and his hands. I'd say it is good for all ages. Great sensory play for littles, cool science experiment for older kids, and fun to play with for everyone. I know you can color it and add glitter for something different. You have to play with different proportions of water to powder to get the best results. It will mix in any container, but seems to mix faster and with less mixing in a container that is as big at the bottom as at the top. This only matters of you are going for the magic effect. We tried in in some cups that were smaller at the base than at the top and it seems to inhibit the absorption from happening super quickly.

This stuff is Cool!
I used this as an activity at a Frozen themed birthday party. I bout a plastic storage tub, threw in some individually wrapped airheads candy, dumped the powder in, and then added water via the water hose. The parents seemed more interested in it than the kids at first, just to see what would happen when I added the water. It started expanding rapidly, then I would stir it around a bit with my hand and it got even bigger! It filled up maybe 3/4 of my plastic storage tub. Then, I got the kids excited when I handed them beach shovels and told them to dig for snow treasure. They were all about it. However, once this stuff is spread out on the ground, it is super slick (just like real snow/ice). So keep that in mind. As soon as the party ended I just sucked it all up with a shop vac (yes I used a shop vac on my lawn), and it was all gone. Super easy and fun activity for kids!

Insta - FUN
This snow is fantastic for sensory play with my toddler. The feel of the snow is soft, fluffy and pillowy. It really does take just seconds to form when combined with water. We used a large shallow bin and kept the snow inside of that. We also only played with it in the kitchen where any spills of the snow could be easily swept up. (I don't trust this stuff in my vacuum cleaner)It lasted about a week in the bin with the lid closed, but it did start to accumulate a strong chemical-like smell in the air tight bin. Not a smell that we noticed before storing it. After about 2 weeks, the snow starts to shrivel up. Water DOES NOT renew or rejuvenate it. Just trash your 2 week old insta-snow and start new.

Impossible to Clean Up
Mixed this up Christmas Eve to add to the ambiance Christmas morning. Spread 2 cups (pre water) around the front porch and the next morning the children were amazed. Somewhat real looking even though it takes on a ball shape and won't clump like real snow(to be expected). Started to lose the whiteness factor by Noon on Christmas morning and turned into a gel mess by afternoon. No water refreshes this stuff at least on outside pavers. It becomes incredibly slippery (even when fresh) to the extent that someone can get seriously injured. The postman even became worried and began to throw my mail on my front doorstep to avoid hurting herself. After three days of hoping this stuff would dry up which it never did - just a slippery pile of goo, I pulled out the hose and sprayed the gel into the yard.Problem is that the gel super glued itself to the pavers. Tried a shovel - no luck. Tried an outdoor brush - better results but still a bunch of slippery gel mess in places. I let it sit for 15 mins after scrubbing and spraying and it finally scrubbed off with a ton of muscle and finger scratching. I just don't know how toxic that gel glob is that is now in 100 places all over my yard. Get this stuff on clothes or rugs - forget about it.If you can put this snow gel into a controlled environment - aka tub - where it can not spill, this would be quite enjoyable. The problem is this stuff doesn't last long after water is added, won't refresh by adding more water, turns into a glob of semi transparent goo (aka super slippery and sticky) after 24 hours even after adding more water, and is IMPOSSIBLE to clean up. Keep this stuff to science class in a tub or other container and you should be fine. Don't expect it to last more than a few hours.

MATH AND SCIENCE NIGHT SHOW-STOPPER!
My 11 year old daughter found this product online to use for her Math and Science Night project at school. It was AMAZING! 1st time ever for this kind of project at her school. The kids LOVED it some much they kept coming back to try it again and again until she ran out (and we'd bought the largest size it comes in!) She even had food coloring for them to use to make different colored snow. Be sure to add the food coloring to the water BEFORE adding to the mix. Would buy this again and again. This is a project I predict other parents and kids to do every year from now on.

... earlier this year and this snow was SO much better! It was light
We purchased two snows for my daughter's birthday earlier this year and this snow was SO much better! It was light, fluffy, and with the A/C all the way down it was ice-cold and we all wore jackets and pants to play in it! We filled an inflatable pool with it and it lasted for weeeeeeeks! It actually got to the point that we couldn't wait for it to dry out on its own any longer so we bagged it wet and it still wasn't dry weeks later. Considering we are in Florida that's pretty awesome. Could definitely use this throughout the holiday season to decorate/play with outdoors or indoors.I would recommend this to a friend and will purchase it again!

Huge bag! Great for making cloud slime!
Huge bag! Pefect if you need to make lots at a time! Great for making cloud slime :)Works exactly as advertised but only if you follow the directions EXACTLY. If you don't measure carefully, you'll end up with slush. After some trial and error, here are the ratios that worked for me:- Add 2 teaspoons of powder (2 blue scoops) to exactly 4 ounces of water. Enough for 2 oz of slime.- Add 4 teaspoons of powder (4 blue scoops) to exactly 8 ounces of water. Enough for 4 oz of slime.Use a large bowl when making the snow! It expands quite a bit! There's a blue teaspoon scoop is hidden inside the jar as well as a roll of paper instructions. Open the jar over a trash can or the sink because product will come out when you open the lid and when you get the scoop & instructions out.

Good fun!
Fun stuff, makes more than a 1 gallon pail. Stinks when you make the whole bag, do it outside. Bag it up and it lasts for a long time.

Not as advertised.
The media could not be loaded. ย I'm very disappointed about this order. Not only did it show up clearly used and open.My kids birthday party is a day away and I don't know if I should return this order as the kids requested it for the party.
