Very good at the price. It remains airtight and has worked very well for us.

Ordered this to make elderflower champagne. The first time I used it , the tap started leaking from insertion point. Luckily I was able to transfer my brew to another bucket. I remedied this by removing the tap and adding some PTFE around the thread before replacing it, this seems to have done the job and I have produced two batches since. The tap function itself works well. I didn’t need the recipe on the bucket, which is just as well as it’s not in English. The bucket is sturdy. When full the handle felt secure to carry it. The lid and airlock fit well. I would recommend this, but test for leaks with water beforehand.

Need to clean burs before fitting tap and make sure it is really tightly secured

Poor customer service and good idea item but very badly executed. The tap was leaking when I put my fruit mix. I contacted seller to provide washer to seal it- reply was I can smooth the edges of the hole and it will be fine. Obviously it was still leaking so in order to rescue my floor and wine I had to silicon it.Seller ignored my last message, didn’t offer compensation for all the inconvenience so I’m stuck with the fermentation tub that I cannot send back and should not really use for food with silicon too.

What is not shown or stated in the description for this container is the fact that on the back of the unit there is a comprehensive ingredients table and other useful brewing information. I wonder if the reason all that information has not been highlighted in the description has got anything to do with it being entirely in what looks like Polish, not a single word of English. I wasn't overly impressed with the airlock which incidently doesn't have a cap, kinda cheapskate!

It is what it is.Works perfectly, so what if there are Polish instructions on it?The handy scale is the litres.As with all Brewing taps make sure the hole has clean edges and seal it with vaseline and do up tight.

Bought this for making cider. Fitted the tap and filled the bucket with water to check for leaks. Left for 48 hours, rinsed, used it to catch the apple juice flowing from the press and... it leaked. Great. Just as well that I have a 12L soup pot. Decanted into that and have washed the tub and reapplied the tap with some silicone sealant this time. Fingers crossed that this works. Also would like to add that it’s a pity that this isn’t a clear tub as I’m not sure I’ll be able to see when it has stopped fermenting.. who knows, it’s my first time.
