RAB LightingRAB MCAP2B Landscape Lighting Post Cap, Black

I had damage to a landscape light and discovered this piece was broken. I discovered this product as an attempt to match and it turns out it matches. The 1/2 inch threaded whole is poorly labeled. It refers to the depth of the hole, not the diameter. The diameter is about 7/8 for the pipe that fits into that hole.

These Caps are PVC plastic as described in the first details. Not aluminum as stated in the Product Features and Product Description sections. They are what I wanted as I am replacing some aluminum caps for a sign lighting installation. The aluminum caps had corroded making the removal of the aluminum fitting on the fixture difficult. The plastic cap should eliminate this problem in the future.If you want an aluminum cap the number is MMCAP2B.These Mighty Posts are very convenient for low mounted fixtures.

Thought description said aluminum alloy but it’s just plastic. It’s strong but still. Was a bit tough to get on the pipe had to sand it quite abit to get it on. But once on very sturdy.

I used to make my own out of PVC caps but these are much easier to use and time saving.

I can make the same thing with a 2" pvc cap and a 1/2 drill bit. Should be only 6-8 bucks max.

These work great for landscape lighting. I bought a stick of 2" PVC from a local Home Depot. I cut it down and put the RAB MCAP2B on top with my lights. Worked Great.
