A good read, but ramble.
I’ve know of Sufi Quattro for some time and enjoy her music. Much like other rock star auto biographies, this one rambles , but in a different way. I could imagine being around her and listen to her tell a story to herself and answering herself when asking questions. Perhaps that’s part of her charm. She isn’t shy about opening up emotionally with how things went and doesn’t sugar coat anything. There are multiple spelling errors and grammatical errors in this version, enough to be distracting, but not taking away from the overall story of Sufi from Detroit’s life.Keep on Rockin’!

The Unabridged First Person Look into Who and How Little Susie Quatro from Detroit became Suzi Q!
A Very Good Introspective, yet Light Hearted Look at the Life of One Leather Wearing, Bass Playing Lady From Detroit. I particularly enjoyed the interplay, the author took dropping back and forth between Susan Kay Quatro, 2nd youngest of Four and the hard hitting, first person storytelling by the bassist, lead singer and leader of the Suzi Quatro Band. The story is written of her whole life to date in 2007 or 8 even before she started playing Bass in the Pleasure Seekers, all girl rock band. We learn the story of her musical family too. Before reading this, I was a huge fan of her keyboard playing brother, Michael; always referred to as Mickie. He was a huge talent. Got to see him perform with dynamic guitarist, Ted Nugent. A show I never forgot to this day. So to say I was motivated to read this story just as the Movie documentary, Suzi was released is no joke. She was always more of a pop star to me. To know differently now is relevant. Now I am interested in renting the documentary movie.

Full of Pluck!
There is so much genius contained between these covers that I don't know where to start. To describe anything is to be a spoiler. Every page is a revelation, and we all know how it ends, Suzi is a star! No, I had no idea ... and I've always and forever been a huge fan ... how much pluck, flat out courage, wit, how clever she is, what a workaholic she is. Drop whatever you're doing and buy this book. Disappear for how ever long it takes to read it. You'll never regret it!

It sounds cool (speaking of which I knew of her from Happy ...
When I discovered the Runaways a bit after they broke up, Joan Jett hadn't made it big yet. Then I heard my uncle's Suzi Quatro lp (as well as an 8-track!) it seemed kind of older? Primitive? Basic? Well anyway I've got a chance to rediscover here early stuff, It sounds cool (speaking of which I knew of her from Happy Days also). And because she's so good looking, I've been trying to get some video stuff of hers. Then the book. A good read, interesting, sad at times. I was disappointed in her dabbling in the occult (and she was warned not to dabble) as well her 'spirituality' which is like that Shirley Maclaine stuff (I listened to the Shirley Roden thing on YouTube - no thanks! Even her kid wasn't thrilled!). One interesting thing in the book was talking of her song 'Michael' and how it wasn't about any of the Michael's that she mentions in the book. Then she sez although it isn't fair, some secrets aren't meant to be revealed. Let ME ask: Was she writing about ME? Well, she never denied it unlike with those other guys! Seriously, I have a pretty good idea who it is, but out of respect for her I'll follow her lead and keep it to myself.

Brought back a lot of memories
I had forgotten all about the Happy Day episodes. I love these historic looks into famous lives. I have since listened to the tunes which has been fun to do. This was an interesting read.

Excellent
I was never a fan of Suzi Quatro and knew virtually nothing about her. Never listened to her music. But this book is really good. And I found myself liking her.

Great book about a great singer
A very underrated singer who should have had more star power she still performs today and she's still reveling in the world of rock and roll she is one of the few singers but I would love to meet in person very interesting book about her life in and out of rock and roll

VERY good book! I was somewhat surprised...
I first bought the Quatro albums in the early-mid 1970s.I loved the "sexy" of course, and I'd just started playing bass. I've recently played catch-up with her career, bought her last couple of cds, which are better representative of her talents, which were somewhat stilted during her earlier fame. This book explains what was going on at that time, although with true class. Ms. Quatro does not complain overtly much about it,but one can read between the lines.A true professional entertainer, and I am glad to say that her latest cd "In The Spotlight" is the best work she has ever done.A great artist who,tho she was somewhat short-sold in the early days of her career for the sake of instant "Pop celebrity",always kept her head...

Nice read
The Kindle version could need some proofreading: Bob Segar... Pat Benata...Other than that it is a very nice read.

What a life!
Reading Suzi's story resonated with me big time...it helped me validate myself on a personal level...she is her own person as am I and I don't need to apologize to anybody for who I am...😊
