Tapping into your ultimate strength
In my early youth I was very weak, infact,I almost died in child birth, which created a life long interest in strength. Along the way I also created an interest in history and biography.and found that in some situations the two interests merged. My interest in history and biography many times led to a particular interest in individuals who exhibited super human strength under the most challenging of conditions. Such individuals exhibited strength far beyond muscular and contractile strength which is the very definition of NERVE FORCE. Some of these individuals would not be considered nice people by today's standards because they had to break through accepted social restraints to release their true potential strength. These individuals did not develop their strength through self resistance exercises, but through facing and overcoming challenges and stresses of various types. As Alois P. Swoboda said, “All evolution is a reaction to stress.”Alois P. Swoboda was a 19th century mind/body trainer and originator of many of the concepts that were later adapted by modern physical and mental training. One of his most iconic quotes was ,”All evolution is a reaction to stress ". This stress is not always from consciousexericse, but can also be from life experiences and can manifest itself physically, mentally, and psychologically even in people who may have followed what we would consider a healthy lifestyle. When this force combines both conscious and unconscious elements it is often referred to it a “nerve force” or “chi.”Two individuals that come immediately to mind in this category are Blackbeard the pirate and Rasputin, the Mad Monk of of Russia. TheirNerve Force and their desire to live were so strong that they were both very difficult to kill. It took 5 gun gun shots and 20 sword slashes to kill Blackbeard. In the early hours of December 30, 1916, a group of nobles lured Rasputin to Yusupovsky Palace, where they attempted to poison him. Seemingly unaffected by the large doses of poison placed in his wine and food, he was finally shot at close range and collapsed. A minute later he rose, beat one of his assailants, and attempted to escape from the palace grounds, where he was shot again. Rasputin, still alive, was then bound and tossed into a freezing river.“Mental Muscle” explores various types and dimensions of strength as well as giving numerous drills to develop various qualities of strength. Yet in the end as it suggests we are all unique and all different and as a result we must all through personal experimentation find our ownpath to release this ultimate personal force.

A Book of Training Mentality That Isn't Generic
This book is phenomenal when it comes to discussing how to tap into your mind for training. Hello to even be allowed to have a book published through Dragon Door means you know your s***. Now Logan Christopher himself; you want to listen to this guy. Reason being is he is one of the few people that ACTUALLY studies the old-school strongmen extensively. Plus for you personal trainers out there, its important to understand this aspect of training. So if you want to learn something new, highly highly recommend this book!!

Good initial read on hypnosis and anchors
This is a good initial read on hypnosis and anchoring as it pertains to physical performance. Application to other tasks also seem possible. The techniques discussed within are explained well and the formats are a big plus. Also ok an easy read.

Good, basic manual on the subject.
A lot of what's in here is "old news", but I like the way it's presented. I kind of wish there were a way to also find audio presentations of some of the inductions/suggestions. Or maybe I missed that.

Old New-Age Mumbo Jumbo
Sort of lame. The legitimacy of NLP was seriously discredited in the 80's I think. This book does nothing more than rehash the old new-age self image improvement hokum. It does help you to create a positive self-image, but you need to keep at it for the rest of your life in order for it to stay effective.

Excellent book. I can verify the techniques work
Excellent book. I can verify the techniques work. Shortly after applying some of the more basic visualization I achieved new PBs in a number of core exercises...pull-ups, dips etc. Most notably I achieved my first handstand Pushup shortly after reading the book...and then, less than 2 weeks later did the very same for 5 consecutive reps. Now thats fast progress.

An insight to how hypnosis works as much as a guide
This book is one I'd put in the A list of my collection, I haven't finished it but at the heart of anything you accomplish first you have to master 'the will'!
