Excellent for Xmas entertaining: worked perfectly and were much admired
I bought these for our annual village pre-Xmas lunch when the whole village — all the permanent residents, all nineteen of us! — gets together in a neighbour’s enviably large kitchen to celebrate ... well, to celebrate being lucky enough to live in a natural thriving community in a spectacularly beautiful part of the world. Its the kind of even where everyone contributes part of the meal and I — foolishly! — volunteered to do the canapés. (19 people times 3 to 4 canapés each equals ... aargh!) Given so many people a range of dietary requirements is, these days, of course the norm. So I had to plan to please everyone including vegetarians, vegans, one dairy-intolerant neighbour and another who is gluten intolerant — plus our one village child! These little sticks pierced — without splitting — everything I threw at them, from very ripe grapes to tofu, from polenta to slithery marinated chargrilled peppers, and from vegan cheese to mini tomatoes. Not only did they pierce everything cleanly, no splitting of the skin in the tomatoes, not even breaking up slippery cubes of oil-marinated and not-quite-firm enough (my mistake) tofu, but they hung on to everything too. Not one thing slid off until it was eaten. So on a practical level they were a huge success.Visually they were perfect. Everyone was admiring them. The bright red ends lent a very festive air to everything on them, particularly appropriate to Xmas but they’d be ideal in any season to add a touch of colour. And with everyone so conscious of waste today the fact that they could be washed and re-used was much commented on with approval. They were also just plain fun to use, and see arranged on the plates turning what could have been a real, “Aargh! Why did I chose to do these!” process into an easy and enjoyable one.I’d say I’ll be buying more, but even canapés for 19 barely dented my stash, and as I brought most of them back with me to wash and re-use (worked just fine, too) I won’t be needing any more for a while. But I’ll certainly recommend them, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them popping up at a range of other village events in the future if my neighbours’ admiration is anything to go by.Just a note of thanks to the vendor: I originally saw another brand of similarly brightly-coloured sticks and tried to order from them only to be told they wouldn’t deliver to my address, here in the north of Scotland! What? How insane is that? Do they imagine we're so primitive up here we don’t have postal deliveries? Can they believe a few cocktail sticks require some sort of special vehicle to deliver them? It makes no sense. This, unfortunately, is something I’ve been coming across over a whole range of small, lightweight, items that just need sticking in an envelope with a couple of stamps on and shoving in a post box, no special arrangements, no ferry or air fare fees. Nada.Today it was a refusal to send ten tiny empty cosmetic pots, the kind you might put a couple of pills in to keep in a pocket, or use to mix a some lipstick in to get the right sort of shade. Those tiny, almost weightless things they can’t deliver up here? Why on earth not? However, this time there was a silver lining: because the first company wouldn’t send what amounts to a few splinters of wood up here I looked again and found this company who would. What’s more they arrived within a couple of days. So a huge thank you to them for their speedy service as well as excellent product. And I liked these ones better anyway, so win:win. And you can bet I’ll be buying from this company again.

Plastic football balls on wooden toothpicks
My parcel with football cocktail sticks has arrived today. They are 12 cm long. Why I gave them only two stars?the positive side first*I have 100 of the wooden toothpicks with plastic football balls -that is good*the toothpicks are football themes -great as welland the rest ...*there are lots of bits of glue stack to the toothpick (oh dear)*some of the balls are not printed very well and a bit smudged*the toothpick are not as thick (strong) as the every day toothpicksI will keep it and use it, but unfortunately not for what I was intending it :(

Not all colours included
I got these for a party, having seen a friend use them for fruit kebabs and thought it was a great idea for the kids. I choose this mixed set which included purple in all the pictures as that's my daughter's favourite colour, but there are no purples in the pack I received. Annoying! But still a great product.

Beautiful little cocktail sticks
We used these little sticks to pierce strawberries and put them in champagne flutes to look cute and fancy for the bridal shower food table, and it worked! You get LOADS of cocktail sticks for the price and the little gold you is such a lovely touch, it was exactly what I needed for my theme!

Fun and functional
So happy with these! I hosted a tapas party and these cocktail sticks were great at adding a touch of colour and fun to the dishes. They are a good length and very functional.
