Mister Pompadour Peppermint Pomade | Water-Based Pomade For Men | Medium Hold and High Shine | Natural Ingredients | 2oz

Mr Pompadour Peppermint Pomade made my hair *extremely* greasy, nearly like vasoline. No hold at all, leaves my hair very flat. I have been searching for the perfect hair product - one that smells good, has good hold, is re-workable and doesn't make my hair stiff and crunchy, and preferably a bit of shine (but matte finish is ok if other qualities are good). I have a drawer full of over 15 products as the hunt goes on. Most aren't bad enough to throw out, just not the perfect one for me. Well so far, only two have actually made it to the trash, D:fi D:Struct (worked great but smelled so bad people could smell me coming a mile away - yuk!), and this one, Mister Pompadour is now product #2 to make it to the trash because it is just way too greasy. I would give it a 1* but it at least smelled good. The jar says "hold and control, medium shine" - I would say zero hold and control and high shine (grease).

I've been using this pomade for several months, probably going on my 4th or 5th tub, and this is by far one of the best products i've ever used (not getting paid to review nor receiving any products from them). I have super thick curly/wavy hair and I style my hair either pompadour or side parted. To get the perfect sheen and hold, this must be used with a high hold clay, the pomade itself does not really have much of a hold but rather a medium to light hold. I use it primarily because of its sheen and because it simply leaves my hair super soft and to the point where I can easily restyle it, even after several hours, albeit if I use the clay. Clay wise, I use 'Claymation' by Hanz de Fuko. Again, I have super thick curly/wavy hair and this stuff simply works. I always receive random compliments on my hair!My routine consists of:damp hair, not soaking wet but rather towel dry1. pre-styler. I use either Mister pompadour or Hanz de Fuko 'Modify' pomade (small amount, probably about the tip of my pinky).2. heat protectant spray3. blow dry hair4. pomade. Mister pompadour only, about the size of the tip of my pinky (I never use the modify pomade at this point)5. Hanz de Fuko Claymation to hold style in place.I read somewhere here in the comments that you have to use a lot to get the proper look. Guys, I use about the size of the tip my pinky. Again, I use it primarily for its shine and because it leaves my hair soft after i blow dry it. I use Claymation for the hold- this stuff will hold your hair down period!You can look up 'BluMaan' on YouTube to get ideas on how to style your hair. I never knew I could get my hair to look like it does now if it weren't for this dude and his videos.

this stuff is so thick you can't even get it through your hair might as well just use glue

The smell is good. It’s easy to spread. I like that my hair feels soft and not sticky or stiff. Rinses out really well. But it doesn’t hold very well. Still my go to since I haven’t found the perfect one!

I personally love the smell and feel of the product. Starts off thick, but melts in your hair and gives it a nice soft shine. It doesn’t hold well for my hair length, but until I find a better holding product that’s “healthy” enough for my hair, this is my go to product.

Smells awesome!! I have very wavy/curly/thick hair. Mister Pompadour does not quite hold my hair as well as some other products I have tried. It works well as a topper if I want a bit of a shine. I imagine it would be great for someone with less thick hair.

it’s a bit stickier than the regular sculpting clay and shows a bit as such in my hair. also the peppermint isn’t rlly noticeable once in hair.

I’m growing out my hair so this pomade helps me pass the awkward stage! This scent stays all day and doesn’t get stiff! So you can always restyle it without tugging your hair! It’s a must have (:

Really good at holding the hair in position unfortunately it dries the hair up but I wouldn't let that put anyone frm buying it.

Very good product! Easy to use, especially on damp hair.
