Wanted to get rid of the echo dot's ac adapter to free up socket space, and looked to find a usb adapter to charge it instead as I have a usb hub nearby.Ordered this, and it works great.I read that it struggles with loud volume, but I have it at halfway and I find that very loud and so far no issues. So maybe at max volume it cuts out, but that's so loud I'm unsure when you'd ever use it at that level.

Plugged it into my motorhome 2.5 Amp USB outlet. It worked with the volume set at a mid level, perfectly loud enough to listen to music and spoken words in the motorhome. If you turn the volume up much louder if you want to hear the music when sat outside, it will cut out as it cannot provide sufficient current for the Dot when the volume is high.

Excellent product. Arrived very fast. Works perfectly with my Echo Show 5 - I plug my Echo Show 5, via this cable, to a portable power bank and, hey presto, my Echo Show 5 is portable and works anywhere (within wifi range) without needing to be plugged into the wall! Very happy with it.

It doesn't work when you ask alexa to play music just doesn't have enough power

well i got this for the eco dot .it works best at low volume. the moment you turn the volume level up it cuts out ..it needs to be able to draw more power to run the dot at full volume
